About This Title
Hey guys! Welcome back to the next part of our Mark of the Wild recap!
Last time, we left off waiting for the first encounter between Zaira and Lulusa. Lulu shows off all her... assets and her rather heated attitude to her host, who, for the sake of this story, doesn't exactly turn her down, lol. With a little bit of sweet-talking, Lulusa manages to get some information about the origins of the conflict and discovers that pretty much all of Zaira's problems, both inside and outside her hideout, revolve around one mysterious rock called Argonite.
And this is where I'll take a little break from all the steamy stuff and focus on the lore for a bit. After all, I should at least TRY to tell an interesting story behind all this, for those of you who are interested ^^.
But what exactly is this rock? What does it do? Why is it so important, and why should we care? Here's a little visual explanation of what Zaira has discovered so far throughout her travels.
Part of Zaira's character development was giving her a past with a pretty emotional event behind it. Watching her hometown slowly fall apart because of people's thirst for power, and having to put an end to the suffering of the few survivors who faced a fate far worse than death, was something I really wanted her to go through. I wanted this experience to shape her ideals and give her a clear purpose, never allow her people's history to repeat itself.
Unfortunately for her, that little snoop Kelsier was the only one who managed to make it happen. And yes, in case you were wondering, everything that's happening right now is ALL his fault "( – ⌓ – ).
From this point on, Argonite becomes the main source of conflict and pretty much the central theme of the story. But why choose a damn rock, Darkra, seriously? Why couldn't it be a curse or something a little less complicated? Well, because I have my ambitions as a hopelessly creative person, okay?! ┐(´⌂`)┌. Nah, honestly, I think there's a lot of potential behind this idea, and you'll start seeing why as we move forward.
However, the story kept growing bigger and bigger, and at this point I realized I could use a little help. So I brought in a great writer friend of mine to help me develop this universe. Her writer name is L.M. Belt. (you can message her to say hello!, she has a very good english tho ^^)
After all that lore and theory, it was time to get back to the hot stuff! I wanted to give these two girls a slightly more intimate moment starting with a kiss!, After this scene, I thought it would be great to make Lulusa particularly interested in this type of character: big, muscular, and powerful women.
To give you a better idea of Lulusa's tastes, I'm sharing a little bit of the lore I came up with for her back then. I promise we'll dive much deeper into it later on! ^^
