About This Title
Hey all, please find attached to this post the month early, early-access version of the game!
As mentioned and voted for over on Discord, this version is not feature complete. What is missing are a handful of HUD headshots, text bodies for C1L5 (branch to and during Overseer's Office) and the Late version of C1L3 (Cafeteria). These will be featured in the full release of Chapter 1 over on itch.io later this month.
After releasing the full version of Chapter 1 over on itch.io, we plan on adding a ton of post-release support and additional features. The full list of what is planned for Chapter 1 in its entirety, from now until and after the 2026 TF Game Jam release, are the following:
Bonus achievement art by Dare.
Character references by PyschoPolecat.
Finish C1L3 and C1L5 to main body completion.
Add main body alternate text throughout the game, covering more consequential and consistent dialogues regarding DNK and INF levels.
Refine Bray and Groom buttons to only appear after certain levels of INF and DNK, with their own bonus dialogues describing what Amanda is doing upon Braying and Grooming herself. Alongside this, a new ending will be added where Amanda can over-bray.
Additionally, there will be interruptive transitional dialogue, that will be injected before the next-in-line main body, to describe Amanda's active transformation, how her body is reshaping and how her mind is donk-rotting.
Rework C1L1, as it is a bit clunky, especially on the code side.
Keep adding the latest blunkinator headshots until HUD headshot is feature-complete.
To play the game, download the .zip file locally to your device, then unzip its contents. You will find two web files and a folder for image resources. Open the web file named "Donkey Diaries V1.5" in your browser and you should be able to play it the moment it opens:
I hope you all enjoy what we've made so far, and do so too with the upcoming updates we intend to share with you all!
