OrionB15 - Death's Alchemist Chapter 2
About This Title
Hello everyone!
I have some exciting news to share about the future of this Patreon page, including some changes to our membership tiers and, more importantly, an expansion of the content you'll be receiving!
First, let's talk about the biggest change.
Beginning Monday, November 23rd, the base membership price for new patrons will increase from $1 to $3 per month.
However, I want to make something absolutely clear:
If you are already subscribed to the $1 tier, your price is NOT changing!
Every existing $1 patron will be grandfathered into what will now be called the Legacy Tier. As long as you maintain your membership, you'll continue paying just $1 per month while receiving all the benefits of the new $3 tier.
This includes:
Weekly chapter updates for A Star Is Born.
Weekly chapter updates for Death's Alchemist.
Chapter images and artwork.
That's right! We're expanding to TWO actively updated stories, with a new chapter from each project every week!
For those of you currently subscribed to the $5 Receive As I Write tier, nothing is changing about your membership or its price. You'll continue receiving advanced access to chapters, staying approximately ten chapters ahead of the standard tiers, along with bonus updates whenever they're available.
So what does this mean for current patrons?
Absolutely no price increases. No lost benefits. No changes to your existing membership costs.
In fact, you're getting more content for exactly the same price!
These pricing changes will affect only new patrons joining after the new structure takes effect.
And for anyone who has been considering joining, there's still time! The $1 tier will remain available through Sunday, November 22nd. Anyone who subscribes by the end of that day will be grandfathered into the Legacy Tier at the $1 rate.
Starting Monday, November 23rd, the $1 tier will close to new members, and $3 will become the new starting price.
I've spent a tremendous amount of time working on these stories, building a backlog of chapters for Death's Alchemist, and preparing for this expansion. I'm excited to finally be in a position where I can confidently offer two ongoing projects without sacrificing the quality or consistency of either.
Most importantly, I want to thank everyone who has supported my writing, whether you've been here for years or only joined recently. Your support has made it possible for me to continue doing something I genuinely love.
I'm looking forward to sharing everything that's coming!
Thank you all, and welcome to the next chapter!
P.S. These changes are being prompted, in part, by the upcoming arrival of my son! My firstborn, Blaze Brown, is due in February 2027. That's one of the reasons I've built up such a substantial backlog for Death's Alchemist, and it's also why I'm raising the price for new patrons. With my family growing, I want to make sure the time I spend writing is worthwhile while still being able to continue telling the stories I love so much.
Cheers, everyone!
