About This Title
Dear Patrons
I hope everyone had a wonderful Halloween / Samhain and many thanks for your continued support as we transition into November.
First, here's the promised episode on the wedding of Alchemy and Kabbalah I had hoped to roll out last week. As you might imagine, this was a technically difficult episode - discussing on esoteric topic can be difficult, talking about the interaction of two is even more so - but I'm more or less happy with how it turned out. I'm going to come back and do a part two focusing more on the later fusion, especially in the 16th and 17th century alchemical literature at some point. But, for covering the foundations and early period of the fusion, I think it's ok!
I'm packing up to head back to Boston for the big book fair there. If you are in the area come say hello Friday afternoon or during the day Saturday for the 'shadow fair' where Morgan and I will be showcasing. I'd love to meet folks!
But, as I mentioned in the previous posting I'm feeling pretty run down and am going to take the next couple weeks off from content creation. I just need to recharge a bit, set a course for the rest of the year, plan a bit on the winter seminar and take care of a ton of lingering admin stuff that I (willfully) neglect when I'm focused on content creation.
I think the first episode I want to make after this brief break is one detailing the thesis that the early Yahweh was actually never one deity but something like local manifestations of a deity-cluster with various traits - think of the various Ba'als, Dianas or even local Madonnas - thus further problematizing this whole monotheism stuff. I'm also thinking about remaking my video on Descartes and the mystical origins of rationalism, etc.
But, lots planned and I'm excited to get back to content creation soon! I hope everyone is well. No office hours this week as I'll be traveling but looking forward to seeing folks soon. I'll keep patreon updated during the break!
Many thanks for your support as I recharge and get ready for the next round of content creation, seminars, etc!
With Gratitude
