About This Title
Hello, beautiful people. The November Member of the Month draw is happening on Friday so make sure to submit your pick(s) if you haven't done so yet.
We are starting The Pacific this week! Just like Band of Brothers, the watchalong for the first episode will be available to everyone and then the rest of the reactions can be accessed via membership or by purchasing the reactions outright via the Collection. I'll be sharing the first two episodes on Saturday, along with early access to the YouTube edit. And then as per usual, we are continuing through Season 6 of Agents of SHIELD (Wed) and Season 4 of Ted Lasso (Fri).
For movies, I am sharing The Red Violin (1998) (Thu), which is a request from Nestor on Reactr, and Green Room (2015) because of Sir Patrick Stewart's passing (Sun).
The edit for my reaction to Tombstone (1993) will appear later in the week here and on YouTube.
My Reactr page is still on pause right now, but I should be good to open it for requests next week.
Important: Patreon Changes for 2027I will make a dedicated post about this at the start of December, but I wanted to give notice now and I'll be sharing this information in the weekly schedules leading up to the end of the year.On January 1, I am simplifying the paid membership experience by offering just one tier that grants access to my entire Patreon. As my TV Insiders tier already does this, I'll just be renaming that to something else (ideas are welcome) and I'll unpublish the Early Birds and Movie Watchers tiers.
If you are already a member of the TV Insiders tier, then cool! Nothing changes for you.
For current Early Birds and Movie Watchers members and people who join either tier prior to January 1, you can retain your membership as-is, both in pricing and access, theoretically forever if you never cancel it. But if you cancel any time after Jan 1 and wish to re-join later, only the full access tier will be available.
I will run a promotion for my Patreon during the holiday season where the first month/year will be discounted on all of these tiers. So if you're interested in joining and don't mind waiting, then feel free to wait for that to save some money.
Why the change?Every couple of years, I like to review my Patreon (and the state of the economy and my own business financials ). Despite the crazy inflation we've all experienced everywhere, I am not making any changes to pricing. I feel like what I charge to access the whole library is a fair amount that also isn't too low, though I'm sure some people would argue that I could charge more. The time feels right to simplify the experience. So after Jan 1, these will be the options for new viewers or re-joiners:
Paid Membership: one price that unlocks everything. Pay monthly or pay upfront for a year at a 15% discount on the total annual cost
Purchase Individual Movie Reactions and/or Collections: curate your experience by accessing only the things that what you want to watch, when you want to watch them
Free Membership: get my schedules and other announcements, reliable notifications for my new YouTube reaction videos, and you may also receive a one-month discount to join the paid membership, which Patreon sends out at random
If you have any questions at all about these changes, please comment them at any time or you may send me a DM, as I will respond to DM's about this.
As an aside to all of the above that is very relevant, there will be changes coming pretty soon with my reaction output. I am working on starting a second YouTube channel, that is still reaction content but is different enough from what I've been doing to justify being separate from the main channel. That's all I can share right now and I know that's vague, I'm sorry. To squash a likely guess, it's not a dedicated TV reaction channel. I promise that once I have things ready to go, you'll all be the first to know about it. I'm excited and I can't help but wonder if it will make me a "better" (in my mind) reactor/reviewer. Stay tuned!
Thank you so much for reading all of this. I know my weekly posts tend to be long sometimes and I really appreciate those of you who take the time to stay in the know. You're all the best and I love your comments and opinion shares. Thank you for being here.
Have a great week!
