porcuMoose Artistries - Addressing the Waitlist, Comics and the PMA's Yearly Schedule (PMA Update)
About This Title
hello everyone, a much needed post about the general state of things regarding commissions/comics, the waitlist and what that has made of my yearly schedule, also what's coming next!
"ARE YOU OPEN FOR COMMISSIONS?"
this has become a frequently asked question with a complicated answer. the answer is I'm always open! but with a catch. I technically never close my commissions, however with the introduction of goretober and then comics— the success of both being a surprise— I can't take as much time to do off-hand projects like I used to, and thus the waitlist becoming what it is today. it's readily approaching a year-long wait if I'm honest, so here's the TLDR:
GORETOBER
firstly, thank you all for the most successful GT to date!! I went out on a limb doing goretober back in 2023 and have been blown away by the reception since. due to its success however, that also means I need three months to do the full thing without too much stress on myself physically and otherwise. also in lieu of the waitlist situation, if you can only commission me during GT, I completely understand! going forward, if anybody on the waitlist messages me during the GT season to see if their commission qualifies for the event, I can potentially offer you a spot!
COMICS
comics have become their own separate beast entirely, which I am both surprised and thrilled have as a new staple in my work! however due to their special schedule, comics have their own separate queue from the small art and larger art. I can comfortably take 6 comic commissions a year, typically broken up into batches of 3 comics at a time— what I often called "Comic Breaks"— from Dec-Feb and the other Apr-Jun, where they are the main focus for those three months.
with all that said, I'm happy to announce we have a full year of comics already set up for 2027!! that also being said, I certainly have my work cut out for me and I'm incredibly thankful if not a little overwhelmed!!
ONE-OFF COMMS & THE WAITLIST
before comics and GT I could invest much more time into general commissions, but as of now I can only work on them for about 1/4th of the year, while comics and GT take up the rest. since my waitlist has become so long, I simply don't need to advertise openings anymore, but to offset that I still advertise "Small Art" commissions year-round as they are my cheapest options and have a much quicker turnaround, unlike everything else these days.
whether it's GT, comics or one-offs, the general reception in the past few years has been INSANE and as always, I look forward to what comes next ~
OTHER 2027 PLANS
quite a bit has happened since moving house, one being that I have become the in-house artist and helper with my partner's horticulture business, Wolf Peach Gardens, where I attend farmer's markets and sell peppers, plants and other goodies. similarly, we also look to vend at conventions in the future where I hope to sell commissions and merch including buttons, stickers, conbadges and more!! I hope to lean into furry gore and snuff merch if I can get away with it ... fingers crossed.
just a little peak, just for you guys ~
that's about all for now, thanks for reading!!
