Eris3D - A Little Update I’m Really Excited to Share!
About This Title
Hey, everyone!
First of all, thank you so much for supporting me. I’m really excited to share something I’ve been working on for the past few months!
I know I’ve been saying that I want to bring you new comics sooner, and I’m aware that I haven’t quite managed to solve that yet. One of the reasons is that I’ve been spending a lot of time working on something behind the scenes: a custom simulation plugin for Daz Studio.
It took a lot of time and effort, but seeing the results now, I honestly believe it was worth it!
I don’t want to drown you in technical details, so let me explain what this means for the comics. Getting clothing simulations to look the way I want in Daz can be difficult. Using other programs helps, but transferring everything back and forth and repeating the process for different poses can take hours.
So I decided to build my own simulation engine and plugin directly inside Daz. It uses the graphics card to run simulations in real time, making it much faster for me to adjust clothing for each pose.
The plugin still has some rough edges and isn’t perfect, but I’m already really happy with the results. And here’s what I’m most excited about:
You should see a lot less unwanted clipping, like a penis poking through clothing when it shouldn’t.
Instead of strange clothing that sticks unnaturally to larger breasts, I can create more natural-looking outfits that fit the characters properly, including more flattering low-cut designs.
I can simulate clothing for each pose much more quickly, which should make the production process faster overall.
This is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time, but I didn’t have enough technical knowledge or time to take it on. After rolling up my sleeves and spending the last few months working on it, I finally have something I’m genuinely excited about!
I’ll share some images with you so you can see the results for yourselves. I can’t wait to hear what you think!
Thank you again for your patience and support. It means a lot to me!
