On a cold morning, Nobunaga was about to go outside and asked for his sandals. Hideyoshi noticed they were freezing, so he quietly put them inside his clothes to warm them with his body heat. When he handed them over, the sandals were warm, and Nobunaga realized Hideyoshi’s thoughtfulness.
The story is told to show Hideyoshi’s attentiveness, loyalty, and ability to anticipate his lord’s needs. Koyuki and Sayuri did essentially the same thing for Hazki.
