This is a strange combination of a couple things I wanted to do. In the MHA manga the concept of 'quirk' marriages is brought up a couple times, mainly in relation to Shoto's family situation. Its mostly there for 'family drama' reasons but I thought it had some potential for other things. Another thing mentioned only barely is that there are international hero exchange programs, both on the school and pro levels.
And lastly... I wanted to put Deku in a qi-pao. That one's no reason I'm just dumb.
I think the quirk marriage and exchange program ideas have potential past this comic so let me know if you like those as specific concepts for tg.
The 1st page is very much '63rd rule basics' so not a ton to say. And then page 2 I tried to do a thing with Deku's thoughts slowly changing to match the things coming out of his mouth. But since its just 1 page its hard to show a really gradual change.
I almost named the original character 'Da Wang' (Attainment King) before realizing naming him 'the dick' was probably in poor taste. Like a name out of an 80s movie doing really lazy asian name jokes. On that same note the eyes Da has aren't meant to be in poor taste either, originally the idea was he was more manipulative before I decided it was more interesting to have his quirk be based on his belief in his own path.
Anyway that's probably more than enough behind the scenes for a comic this simple!
