TimeTeamOfficial - Dig Watch: Ness of Brodgar | Day 18
infoAbout This Title
Wednesday was a day of cleaning and recording as more walls emerged, along with the outline of an entirely new building. Working out how these structures fit into the story of the Ness will depend on establishing their phasing, but with relatively few finds so far and very little time left, that's proving to be a real challenge.
There is some good news, though. Several pottery sherds could be diagnostic, and once Jan has finished digging, she'll be analysing them to see if they can help date the buildings.
We've also been joined by some new faces this week as the team makes its final push towards the end of the excavation.
In today's dig watch, Jackie uncovers a tiny piece of what could be crucial evidence. It may be small, but we're keeping our fingers crossed that it helps unlock the site's phasing before time runs out.
Could this little find provide the clue we've been waiting for? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
