About This Title
Hello, my lovely patrons!
Here's another timelapse. This time you get to see my process for creating the Virtue Vault. I was inspired by the old illustrations of the Batcave and the Justice League's trophy room. Dick Sprang's batcave springs to mind in particular:
Sprang drew this in 1995 by the way. He hadn't worked in comics for decades. What a badass.
Anyways, I only had a few concrete ideas for items to put on display. I knew I wanted a robot torso, a cavewoman costume, and a plane (a little nod to Alex Toth). Beyond that, I just riffed until it was done. Colors took me a second because I wasn't sure if I wanted to continue the virtue fortress's gold and purple theme. In the end I used a gradient map which unified the colors of an outlandish dimensional space and a dimly lit room.
Let me know if you like these little looks at my process. I want to give you more on this tier and I think these could be a good avenue for sharing stuff that otherwise wouldn't be covered in something like a BTS post or WIP post.
