DuBetta - Clothes Study + Notes and WIP of Goblin X Human part 2
About This Title
So first about the goblin: This is going to be a two piece ilustrations for the month of september and october, I will make a vote next week with a bunch of ideas for the other ilustration, I been thinking of a more COMPLEX nsfw piece around Tristana from League of legends, yall think she would look good on a more SEXY dark armor >-< but now lets go on the study notes: So I broke my rule of only using one resource but THIS time is because I probally found the simplest YET useful video around this topic: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d07NanfYT8U&t=1s Marco Bucci is genuine one of the most underrated professors on youtube and this video is genuinely a lifesaver. Drawing clothes can be broke down in a bunch of topics, and Marco, in this 15-minute video, breaks down the following: - Gesture and Motions - Render - Exercises - Functions - How they work and WHEN
Genuine thing that I will practice more next week, for example: I will do a shortstack using two of the folds on her clothes, this will be next week but I promise it will be a fun exercise. But as for my take on this topic: Folds are the primary way we use to show how that fabric is supposed to work; for example, the fabric is loose but gets caught a lot on the joints of a person. So the Drop and Half lock joints will be the primary folds you use for that drawing; think of them as basically a selection of tools; you will use them multiple times around a character depending on how many layers they have of fabric or clothes. This one was a fun exercise, I will do another one at the end of the month with a twist Clothes study: Lingerie hihi
