izeumane - Process Video - Doctor Strange: Phantom Sorcerer / GB+
About This Title
Hello! Here is the process video for this month, and I do have some notes on my thinking process and other stuff that helped me throughout this piece.
Colors and EffectsAfter the recording, I just edited the colors of the piece using a Color Lookup filter (2Strip.look at 60% opacity) to kill a little bit of the purple and add more cool tones to the piece.
Is a little bit difficult to work with purples since they can be cooler or warmer. I personally prefer to keep them cooler with some warm accents.
3D ReferenceAs I mentioned, I used a 3D model for the piece to speed up the process. I used Daz3D and had to break the model a little bit to get the extreme pose I was planning to do. I believe I added the bodybuilder shaping to 300% to get a closer look at what I had in mind.
This really helps since I can get a sense of what is going on and proceed with a clear visual. I don't trace it; I just have it on the side to refer to.
ConclusionI tried using different brushes but ended up using my reliable skin brush to do all the rendering. If you have any questions about the process, you're free to ask!
