About This Title
Hey everyone!
This time it’s not one scene. It’s the game itself, cut together from the build: a room, the people in it, and what happens when you click on one of them. I’ve wanted to show you this for a long time and I’m very proud of it. The video is below, hit play.
This is Peter’s room, one of the locations. The rooms have real depth now: the camera follows your mouse and the room moves in layers behind it, so it feels like a place and not a backdrop. There is a lot more to do in them and a lot more that answers you. The other locations work the same way, each with its own people and its own things.
And it’s not just this room. The sky is alive over every location and the light in the rooms moves with it. The people in every location are alive the same way, with their own things to do. The world reacts to what you do. A lot under the hood is different too, and there’s much more I’m not listing here.
You asked for more Mary, and today she’s the main thing. The interesting part starts when you click on her. This is not the old Spine 2D animation anymore. In conversation she’s alive and she reacts to you: she breathes, blinks, raises her brows when you surprise her, turns her head and looks at you, and her mouth moves when she talks. The animation in dialogue is far more interactive and a lot smarter now. If things go far enough, you can touch Mary right in the middle of the conversation. She answers, and differently every time. That’s how every conversation in the game works, not just with her.
Behind the door of this room is the rest of the house, behind the house is the city, and there’s a lot in there I haven’t shown you yet. There’s a progression tree too, it didn’t make it into the video. The tree knows about the NTR switch and works like in Season 2: turn it off and you never see a frame of it.
And no, I haven’t forgotten about the story and the sex. They are the main line. All of this runs underneath it.
