About This Title

Here's the latest development update!

First, I apologize, but this update contains no fetish content... It may be difficult for me to provide fetish content for a little while.

I'll do my best to make progress as quickly as possible and implement swallowing mechanics as soon as I can.

Sorry for the wait, and thank you for your patience!

1. Development Begins on a New Project: "Candy Venture"

This may be a repeat of my previous announcement, but now that the concept has been finalized, I'd like to introduce the project again.

The title has been decided: "Candy Venture."

Before starting development on Chapter 2 of Junk of Knight, I've decided to work on a medium-sized project to become more familiar with Godot.

An ordinary-looking house, home to a lovely dragon lady.

On one of its shelves, a tiny race of little people had built a town where they lived.

They survived by collecting scraps of leftover food scattered across the shelves, all while avoiding their natural predators and the watchful eyes of their enormous landlady.

"I wish we could eat something better..."

The ones who made that wish come true were the so-called "Candy Dealers."

Armed with mysterious tools such as hookshots and pickaxes, they are skilled workers who swiftly gather food while fighting off predators.

Among them, Candy Dealers capable of collecting candy are especially valued and even treated as heroes.

One day, a certain Candy Dealer discovered a glass jar filled with candy on the very top shelf.

"If there's candy up there, I'll get my hands on it!"

With a hookshot in hand, the Candy Dealer set off on a journey to reach the candy waiting at the highest level of the shelf.

That's the basic premise!

I'd like to create a hookshot-based action game where players use their hookshot to collect enough food to meet their quota while making their way toward the highest shelf.

The gameplay concept is somewhat similar to R.E.P.O.

(There's a new update out, too! Even while writing this article, I'm itching to go play it...)

And of course, swallowing mechanics are planned!

You'll have to deal with natural predators, but if you fail to return to town in time, the giant lady might pick you up between her fingers.

Failing to meet your quota could also get you banished from town, potentially ending up falling straight into the sleeping lady's mouth...

I have all sorts of ideas planned!

2. Player Movement

This is the main highlight of this update.

Walking normally is rather slow, but you can move much faster by swinging around like Tarzan, pulling yourself forward with a rope to launch yourself at high speed, or bracing yourself while airborne.

I'm also planning to make the rolling state capable of dealing a small amount of damage if you manage to hit an enemy with it.

A little side note:

I'm really bad at programming, but with AI as my teacher, I decided to learn while developing this project.

I also wanted to become familiar with a proper game engine so that I wouldn't have to abandon a project in the future due to limitations or issues with the development tools themselves.

I suppose I could have had AI make the entire game for me, but I didn't want to release something without understanding how it worked internally. More than anything, I really wanted to build it with my own hands.

So I did my best!

3. New Enemy: "Wornet"

I only just finished implementing the player's movement yesterday, so this enemy is still in its early stages...

Meet Wornet!

This creature is obsessed with the allure of candy, and many Candy Dealers carrying their hard-earned loot have already been swallowed by it.

Here are the mechanics I plan to implement:

It flies around the shelves using its wings. When it detects candy, it stops patrolling and approaches the candy.

When a Candy Dealer enters its field of vision, it charges for a certain amount of time before rushing toward them.

If you're hit, you'll be trapped inside its mouth and thoroughly licked.

And if you can't escape...

I've already finished separating its sprite layers, so I should be able to implement it into the game starting tomorrow.

(I may still need to add a few more animation variations.)

Hopefully, I can get the swallowing mechanics implemented sometime this month!

4. Upcoming Development Plans

Player

Add digging mechanics (allowing players to collect food)

Wornet

Implement into the game

Top priority: Swallowing attack

The Dragon Lady

Finalize the design of the dragon lady who owns the house

I'm sorry that this update is mostly about features I plan to implement rather than completed content.

I'll do my best to turn these plans into reality as quickly as possible, and I would really appreciate your continued support!

Thank you!
