Sometimes you go back to an older game and find that your memory of it has become embellished over time. It looks worse than in your mind's eye, it's clunkier, it's obtuse.
I don't have that with the CMx1 games. They're exactly how I remember and that's why I never made any CMx1 AARs. Yes, it's got more elements of realism, but by the time Afrika Corps came out I was waist deep in the original Operation Flashpoint which was much more engaging.
