Uncle Al - Uncle Al Newsletter: July 2026
infoAbout This Title
Welcome to another Unc Newsletter for July 2026! Let's waste no time and get into it.
Updates for everyone
In this month's newsletter, I'll be covering:
[uncle al] content: Updates regarding the next batch of SpongeBob videos coming in August, DKCA Funding update, and more parodies beyond!
Uncle Al Plus: Changes to content rollout
(NEW) Unc's Arcade: Information about a new channel project "Unc's Arcade"!
Let's jump into it!
Rev up those fryers
A new KKC is on the way! Last month I shared that I would work on an episode to release this month, so what happened? Where is it?
WUH HAPPUN?!
A lot of commotion behind the scenes, that's what happened! I'll save it for the Uncle Al Plus section, where all will be revealed. But rest assured, I haven't forgotten about this!
WHEN?!
August is my updated plan. I tried VERY hard to make it happen before the end of July, unfortunately it's just not going to pan out. I'll be out of town the first week of August so at this point, I'm hoping to make some magic happen for mid to late August! Luckily, it's fully scripted and ready to go, so the hardest part is done!
What's this Episode about?
Slight change of plan from last month! "Bait Squidward Day" might still become an episode, as a matter of fact the script is already partially completed. But I hatched another idea that I'm going to tackle first in the spirit of summer:
Squidward Passes Away
What does this have to do with summer? Why did Squidward pass away? All this and more will be revealed in August when TKKC returns.
How's the funding for DKCA?
The reason I haven't provided any updates regarding our goal is because, well, there isn't really anything to share at the moment
The needle hasn't moved since the last update, we're still sitting around 31% of the total funding goal. But same as last month, I'm working around the clock to try and move the needle closer to the goal of more episodes. I think August has the potential to start moving that percentage again with all the various projects I'll be tackling.
I'm hopeful that there will still be at least a new episode before the end of the year!
More parodies?
Eeyup! I fully intended to focus on SpongeBob and DKCA, but inspiration struck and I'm cooking up additional memes/parodies/shitposts that will be coming up in August and beyond.
Currently:
A King of the Hill shitpost has been fully scripted and recorded, hoping for an August release alongside a new SpongeBob video!
The Amazing Digital shitpost is well into the scripting phase, no specific ETA on that yet but it should be fun!
ANOTHER Family Guy video? Well, maybe. I have a partial script completed but it has an element that's slightly more ambitious, if anyone knows any composers who could lend a hand then send them my way.
It's the summer of Unc Posting I guess lol.
A new path forward for PLUS (Part 2: Electric Boogaloo)
Last month I shared that I was developing a pipeline for high effort evergreen content for Uncle Al Plus, and that was true! I did just that! For as excited as I was for this new era of content, there was a massive key part of the whole business I had overlooked when setting out to this goal:
Turns out, I need money to live
I'm not collecting money from the Patreon for my personal living expenses at this stage, I'm reinvesting every penny into my content, meaning ad revenue is how I am able to sustain myself. Creating big, experimental evergreen videos as it turns out, is very costly, and does not guarantee success with ad revenue. Without getting too deep into the business, I'll just give you the TLDR; I was spending much, much more than I was pulling in. I realized this quickly and as a result, I'm putting these videos on the backburner, as much as I hate to say it. I would love to do more like them when I've positioned my channels more comfortably.
So what now?
Rather than making such a sudden and drastic shift to my Plus content all at once, I'm going to keep doing what I do best on the channel: Yapping about games. This time, more consistently.
Thanks to you guys, I'm able to bring editors on board to help me publish content more consistently on Plus. From now on I plan to cover a variety of gaming subjects, beyond just the realm of Nintendo. I still love yapping about Nintendo and will absolutely do so when there's games and news to cover, but lately they've been pretty dry haha. So I want to expand my horizons a bit.
But to give you an idea of some videos I want to tackle in the near future in the realm of Nintendo;
A new Kong Watch, there's a lot of stuff to cover and a bright future ahead for our favorite Ape!
Wahhhrio Watch? Yeah, you read that right. I think there's a lot of evidence pointing toward a new Wario game landing in our laps sometime in the maybe not so distant future?
Revisiting Mario Kart World is still a video I want to get to, just haven't found the time for it yet.
Splatoon Raiders Review should be available in the next few days following this post!
So all in all, Unc Plus is going back to doing what it does best-- Covering games and a whole lotta yap. This time with higher volume and consistency! No more going days (or weeks) without an upload to speak of.
A whole new way to Unc
Unc's Arcade is a channel I made last year and just hadn't found the time to do more with it... Until now! This is a place where I can play whatever games I want, cover any topics I desire, and just have fun.
It's purely for goofs and laughs, for those of you who have been around for a while on Unc Plus, you might be familiar with Arcade's style from videos like The Patrick Star Game, Mr. Krabs rages at Nick Brawl, Hollow Knight Silksong funny vid, and more.
The channel isn't currently monetized, but we're getting close! Soon it will be an additional revenue source to help support future content across all of my channels, and especially towards future DKCA content!I would also love to eventually include other types of content here that fell to the wayside on Uncle Al Plus, such as 100% runs, challenge content (Peppino 64, No Banana Bananza) and any other fun gameplay styled content like that.
If you enjoy my shitpost/meme content and funny gaming commentary, this really is a channel match made in heaven for you. Hope you'll check it out! There's a new video releasing this Saturday all about Sonic Superstars, you'll get the early bird treatment real soon. In the meantime, check out this awesome thumbnail by the legendary Bran10DOH;
As a bonus, here's a sketch for another upcoming Unc's Arcade video, hot off the presses;

That's all folks!
That covers it for this month's newsletter! As always I thank you all for your continued support, it really means the world and has allowed my content ventures to expand in a multitude of new ways.
As I mentioned, I'll be on a trip (my honeymoon!) at the beginning of August, so things might slow down a tad starting next week, but by the end of August I should be firing on all cylinders again!
If you have any questions, feel free to drop a comment and I'll try my best to answer them for you!
Thanks again and see you all for next month's newsletter!
