Hello everyone. Hope the FPL team tinkering is going well. Mine has gone into overdrive.

In my last article I was looking to Bench Boost in GW2 and had the full compliment of 3 Coventry Players vs Hull. I've since decided against that as I don't want to be saddled with 3 Coventry players until I get to my, as yet, undecided Wildcard gameweek. It also seems a very eggs in 1 basket Bench Boost with a high risk of less than 8 points if there's a surprise Hull result.

I still would like to use the Bench Boost early rather than it be a distraction I could do without over the following gameweeks. So I am now aiming for a Bench Boost now in Gameweek 1

So there have been wholesale changes to the team. Many result from the Change of BB plans which have seen me ditch the Coventry players but other have involved specific reasons for the change.

I've upgraded Shaw to Maguire. His injury history and United's flirting with Lewis Hall put me off.

O'Reilly to Gvardiol. As I write this O'Reilly has yet to play any preseason minutes. The Community Shield could change my mind but he's more replaceable in the Man City lineup than say Erling Haaland and was in the World Cup for longer

Foden to Mbeumo. Those Hull and Ipswich opening fixtures are too hard to ignore. Also Sesko looks like he won't start GW1 so Mbeumo is the favourite to start as the Centre Forward.

I've also seemingly added 3 Brighton players in Verbruggen, Gross and Gomez. Verbruggen with Kinsky as the best £4.5m GKs, Gomez as great value as a RW and Gross with his set piece and likely penalty duties

Here's the team. Likely to be 1 more article with hopefully less changes!

David N

David's last 9 seasons are 265k, 124k 46k, 65k, 17k, 10k, 598th, 267th, 470k and 809th

Below is my current team with intention to Bench Boost in GW1.

That will lead me to potentially Wildcard in GW6 but I view this team as being able to carry the to Wildcard forward with at least 3 Free Transfer. This is why I avoided Sunderland players with difficult GW4/5 fixtures and why I currently prefer BB1 to BB2.

In order to achieve the carry over of transfers and Wildcard in GW6 I'm avoiding players which have greater minute risk until GW6 as a result.

I've been trying to find the extra £1.0m to upgrade Szobo to Mbeumo as I like those 2 opening Hull and Ipswich fixtures

Here's the team as it currently stands

Ewan M

Ewan M - last 5 season's Overall Ranks - 342k, 1k, 26k, 55k and 56k

Unlike many others I'm likely to Wildcard and then Bench Boost afterwards which is the more traditional way of using it. Possibly for GW6 to get the price rises and injury fix of the International Break. As I said BB probably after that.

However there always the possibility of going the template way and using it in the first couple of weeks. Still to be decided in my final article

Here's the team as it stands

Andy Jones

Andy Jones last 4 seasons overall ranks are 1k, 14k, 12k and 12k.

Introduction

I, like most of us, have been tinkering! I did feel my defence was a problem, especially as I am not confident of Jacquet’s minutes or Liverpool’s defence in general. I also think it was led, to an extent, by thoughts of an early bench boost rather who the best squad is for the first 4 or 5 GWs. I think I am getting to a squad where an early BB is still a possibility and the team is viable without a WC before GW6 at the earliest.

There are still lots of moving parts to this draft but I think the main pillars are in place and a few positions could be changed to free up money or for better rotations.
