Matthew Joberns - Progress Report August + Character Poll Theme

Hey everyone, I hope you’re all having a good start to the month. Got a few different things to go over with you this post mainly to do with what’s coming in the next two updates and then also the character poll for this month which I have two options for and I think you will like both it just depends which one we do first, both of them we have’t had for a while so will be nice to get them done again :)

Next Scene - D*epthroat On Back

Starting with what you’re probably looking forward too next update and thats the new scene. Some of you might have seen how the animation was coming along in the last post but if you didn’t here is a look at it.

What I said I was going to have to do is zoom it in a bit and then do the head in a window but I don’t think the zoom in part will work the best as then you won’t get a full view of the guy as well. So the plan now is to add a short and long hair style too the the character but have it kind of going down so you don’t see much of it and then I will match this to the character thats being viewed, hopefully this gives enough to make it feel like them. For characters that have a different look to their hair or face I will probably have to redraw one just for them but that should be fine. I will also still have a window view so you can view the actual view of the characters head but we’ll have to see how this goes and looks with the top view animation. I’ll probably have a few different variations to show you in the next post in about a week and then we can see what works best.

Character Poll - Anime Or Runners Up

For the character poll this month I have two different themes we can go with. The first of these we haven’t had for a bit now and I know its a lot of peoples favourites along with being a very close poll last time so thought I’d add that as an option here again.

This will be the anime themed one and I still have a lot of characters that can be in it from last time.

If you have any suggestions for any others though let me know and I’ll see if I can get a sketch done for them ready for the poll.

The next option is going to be a runners up themed poll as we haven’t had one of these for even longer and it would be nice to give some of the other characters that a lot of people wanted a chance to get added.

Here are some of the options I thought did well in the previous poll and deserve another chance.

If there are any others from previous polls you think would do well here let me know, some of them will also be anime characters so this could be a better option for a mix of different themes

Feature Focus Poll - Scene Improvements

This won’t be for the next update but instead the start of the month update next month but I wanted to quickly speak about a bit to clarify some parts.

Basically this isn’t going to the the same as the “Scene Things” option which was what won the poll a couple of months ago so this won’t be adding new things to scenes like the Prg, Fta, An*l etc we will save that for when “Scene Things” wins again.

This will be more improving things already in scenes, so if the animation for a certain part of a scene could be better, for example the way the b*obs are drawn or animated could be better or maybe the c*mshot / cr*ampie could be animated better this will aim to improve them and make them as good as possible.

I have a few things already I think would be good to improve but if you have any suggestions let me know as I think you probably known best what could look better or just work better in the game. This can also be things not related to scenes but just how the game works UI wise or anything like that, for example someone said having the phone in every room would be nice so I am going to try and get that added then, which is a bit more complicated than it looks XD but I should be able to get it done.

Let me know if you have any ideas though like that and I’ll see what I can do :)

Outfits - Generic Or Unique

For the outfits this part is more of a question. So over the last few updates before the most recent I was mainly focusing on unique outfits that can be used with one character or with any other character if that feature is active in the scene. However in the last update I added a few smaller generic outfits with some different themes etc. So im wondering which you would prefer at the moment, this isn’t like a which you prefer in general its more like there’s been quite a lot of unique outfits recently maybe it would be nice to get some more generic ones done or maybe you’re ok with keeping at the unique ones. This would probably be what I focus on for at least the next couple of updates outfits wise but we can see how it goes.

Just let me know what you’d prefer and here are a few of the unique outfit sketches I’d like to get done.

For the generic ones I kind of just draw them as im doing it but if you have any suggestion for them and in particular what scene you’d like to see them in I can work on getting them done as well and should have some stuff to show you in the next post, maybe some ideas for outfits that would go well in the new scene coming.

Images & Animations

For the images this month img going to be working not he next two for Lara C. I have the sketches for both of these ready and they are looking really good it now just depends what order I do them in.

Here is how they are both looking so let me know which you’d like to see first and I can get that done and will do the other for the update after.

For the image animations there are two options, I can either carry on with the Ranni stuff and do another one for her. The one I was thinking would be this one.

Or I could choose another character and image if there’s one you’d prefer, just let me know and I’ll see if I can get it done instead :)

Performance And File Size Updates

Finally this is just a quick thing following on from the last update. The game is getting to that point now where I need to spend a bit of time reducing the file size and also working on some performance increases just to make sure everything is running smoothly.

With this though it means there might not be as much new content that you will see as I will have to spend some time doing this and this isn’t really like new features so you might not even notice it.

I will try and do it slowly though so not too much each update so there should still be basically the same amount of content each update which is good but I think this is a good thing to do for the long run. I have already done a bit of this for some of the scenes the main stuff its going to be to do with is the outfits and also how the scenes load so if you notice any problems with them let me know.
