Brothers! Welcome back to Flashgitz Friday, your only official source for all Flashgitz and Space King news! Remember, any other sources are just leaky valves and need to be taken out back and dealt with (in Minecraft).
What a week it’s been! Between War World’s (eventual) successful release and the Space King board game Kickstarter campaign, there’s a lot to celebrate!
Firstly, let’s talk about the board game! Your guys' support has absolutely DECIMATED our expectations, officially passing $3.4 MILLION! You guys came together and absolutely crushed every goal we set, and to be honest, we’ve been frantically trying to keep up with these milestone reveals because they’re just happening way too fast. I think it’s fair to say that we vastly underestimated the inspiring combination of your fervent generosity and undiagnosed autism.

We over here at Flashgitz are very humbled by how successful this campaign has been in such a short amount of time. You’d think the word would be “proud”, but we couldn’t have gotten this far without you guys and your support. So from the bottom of our hearts, thank you all for your generous support. You deserve our eternal praise, not just because the Space King board game is officially happening, but because we’re also humiliating everyone who didn’t believe in us! HA!!!

We’ll do our victory lap for Space King 5 later. In the meantime, I’m sure you’re all very curious about the progress of SPACE KING 6!
It surprised a handful of you last week to find that we’re already working on Space King Episode 6, but the explanation’s simple: we’re built different. In terms of progress, we’re in the middle of working on assets, backgrounds, and animation! The animatic is already complete, along with most recorded lines. Thank god, because it means I have a lot of cool stuff to show you already!

The detailed linework our talented background artists whipped up for Space Louisiana.
The main squad’s bikes require a lot of bespoke angles (that’s right, they’re ALL getting new bikes!) Luckily we get off on torturing our artists.

A new squad ship with the insignia scratched out. It was probably something naughty.
I WANT TO GET OFF MR. BONES' WILD RIDE!
Space King’s mechanics do not burden their steeds with kickstands.

I can’t wait to show you more Space King 6 goodness in the coming Flashgitz Fridays. Not to suck our own dick too much, but this episode is absolutely hilarious and is going to knock your socks off. In the meantime, though, there’s always the Tom and Don channel to hold you over!
This week’s episode of Tom and Don is the Space King 5 director’s commentary! But it will be airing on SATURDAY (we’ve had a busy week, okay? Cut us some slack…) Come listen to fun production tales, like how we achieved the big flappy ball sounds of Globulous Maximus! Or the story showcasing our composer's indomitable human will. Or even the part where Don felt his first human emotion while watching episode 5.

Almost 7 million views at the time of writing. That’s like the entire population of.. Uhh.. Paraguay!
You guys really turned up for this one and we couldn’t be more stoked. War World was an intense labor of love from many hard-working artists who spent almost 9 months pushing this baby out, so we’re finally glad it’s seeing the light of day.
And of course, we want to thank our Brothers, Greedy Brothers, Very Greedy Brothers, and those who reside in our new CHOSEN tier! Many of you are new initiates who see the potential Space King and Flashgitz has, while the rest of you might be older supporters who have stuck with us through thick and thin. Either way, you’re all part of the Brotherhood: the secret society who fuels the furnace that helps us make super cool cartoons for the betterment of mankind. History will remember you favorably. Once again, thank you for your support. And keep looking forward to Space King 6!
