maruten - 平成DAYS (Heisei Days)
About This Title
Hello Patrons! It's the artwork of the month!
The Showa Era has ended, and the Heisei Era is just beginning. Can you feel the excitement for the future? What a time to be alive!
I've had this kind of idea for a while since my last trip to Japan. When I went to the chain of anime goods store Mandarake, I looked at some of the old anime merchandise and couldn't help but notice how cute anime guys were back in the 80's. It was an interesting time for Japanese animation, and I'm sure it has a special place in many otakus' hearts. So I imagined a retro anime guy in a pin-up pose, and added him onto a magazine cover.
Sure he is a bit dorky how outdated he can be, but so interesting that some old things are timeless! This is an artwork set, and all of the artwork can be downloaded through the link below. Enjoy!!
