About This Title
Okay, so nice little half week with lots of time off. As promised, I worked my butt off for it!
For Cabin, we have a cute scene about Sami doing a pregnancy reveal party and all her friends turn up for it. Nothing at all goes wrong.
There have been a bunch of minor spelling tweaks and other little things as well. Not anything super worth going for. All up, as I said, I did work hard, but compared to the past few weeks where I have had high sleep amounts... but also high stress... This week I've had low sleep, but also low stress, and that's a holiday in my book!
Now, you'll notice that there is something besides the Cabin update this week. I love making games and that means that, in my spare time, I also make games. I'm basically terminal, if you know what I mean. In this case it is NOT an adult game, even if it is a canonical part of Alex's background.
I made it for the Spooktober 8th Annual Visual Novel Jam, honestly... I was feeling a little spiteful that they didn't have prize categories for writing! In a visual NOVEL competition! No prize for writing, or story, or theming. So I made something about judging books by covers that looks like it could be judged by it's cover. Honestly though... they aren't idiots or prudes and they aren't going to fall for that. Besides... I'm going up against teams of 10 people with professional artists and voice actors... I stand zero chance of even placing.
Unless of course you have an itch account and want to help my artificially inflate my rating.
I am proud of what I made, I always am. It's a bit flawed (apparently there is a rogue infinite loop if you get too angry) and it's not exactly a happy story. But the real thing that I can be proud of is that this is the production value I want to put into projects going forward. I can't just push Cabin up to that, that would be over a years worth of extra effort just for the sake of consistency. But I like that my skills have grown.
