About This Title
For those of you not familiar, the Expert Team Ranger Force Tigers are an organization of brave women who protect Japan from extraterrestrial threats. These adversaries admittedly look like dudes in unconvincing rubber suits, but are nonetheless actually deadly adversaries. Using a wide range of techniques from jumping, kicking, and hand weapons to giant city flattening robots, they work hard to keep Japan safe from any and all threats.
Today we're profiling their leader Yuriko Takayama. The research team really went all out to make sure they didn't miss any important information about her. They might have gone a bit too far, actually, but it's all in the name of public knowledge so there's that.
Some time ago, a Patron suggested that I do an ENF riff on the Power Rangers. This didn't seem like a bad idea, except for the fact that they're live action actors and I don't like to do ENFs of real people. Someone else further suggested that I make up my own Power Rangers, which I thought was a fine idea: especially since I could make them all women, which would help with the "F" in "ENF". (Those Ranger shows can be quite the spandex sausage fests) I decided to go back to the source material and make a Japanese team of Sentai, the first of which you're seeing here. Writing the increasingly personal blurbs for each slide was a lot more fun than it should have been.
As usual, I might do more with this concept down the road. Probably not a full comic story, but maybe a splash page story like Ze Spy. We'll have to see.
