Saeko Busujima is the composed, elegant third-year student and former captain of Fujimi High School’s kendo club in Highschool of the Dead. Tall and athletic, with long dark-violet hair, vivid blue eyes, and a calm, almost aristocratic bearing, she is the survivor group’s most dependable close-range fighter—first wielding a wooden bokken and later a katana. Saeko protects others with discipline, intelligence, and an unwavering sense of responsibility, but beneath her serene smile she struggles with a frightening enjoyment of violence, a part of herself she fears reveals her true nature.
