About This Title
The DamnationX trailer is out!
DamnationX is our fan remake of Diablo 1 with HD graphics. This is version 0.1, an early release, so a lot of the animations and assets are still being redone. Thank you for supporting it this early. Play it, break it and tell us what you think on Discord.
How to play in your browser
1. Go to https://damnationx.net in a browser with WebGPU support.
2. In the Game Disc panel, pick your own DIABDAT.MPQ from your copy of Diablo (we can't ship the game data). The shareware SPAWN.MPQ works too.
3. Click LOAD DAMNATIONX.
How to turn on the HD pack
1. Download the HD pack below: [HD PACK LINK]
2. Unzip it somewhere on your computer.
3. On damnationx.net, open the HD & Sound panel, click Choose HD Folder… and pick the unzipped folder.
4. Load the game. The HD art is read straight from your computer, nothing gets uploaded.
Diablo II sounds (optional)
If you own Diablo II or Diablo II: Resurrected, the same HD & Sound panel can import its sounds. Pick your Diablo II folder, your Diablo II MPQ files, or your D2R folder.
Playing on desktop (macOS)
Grab the latest release here: https://github.com/trygentic/damnationx/releases/latest
Open the DamnationX launcher, use Game files… to pick DIABDAT.MPQ and HD folder… to pick the unzipped HD pack, then hit Play.
Online co-op
Public games for up to 4 players run through the lobby at damnationx.net. Join the Discord to find a party: https://discord.gg/trygentic
Your game data, saves and settings stay on your own device.
