Secret Base - Pedro vs. Zimmer, baseball bolognese, and ethics.
About This Title
Welcome back to This Week in Sports! Will here, and I'm proud to say the opening of this episode is not awful in the same way the first episode was. I very carefully made no promises that this intro isn't also awful, I'll let you be the judge, but I can guarantee it'll be different.
If you missed episode one, this is the show where we're looking at this very week in sports, just from a previous year. We've jumped back to 2003 for this edition, and as a result had the excuse to talk about a few extremely on brand incidents.
As the thumb and title give away, we're talking about Pedro Martinez's run in with Don Zimmer. Or, his run at by Don Zimmer? Idk. The fun part of this was realizing just how pivotal that week in baseball was, so without spoiling too much I'll just encourage you to dive in and let us know what you think. Particularly, how does "Twisters" sit with you? Not the movie. Well, I guess if you have strong thoughts on the movie you can share those too. Just watch the thing, you'll understand.
Next Monday, check your inbox for a very special piece from Seth. In the sincerest way possible, I am very glad y'all come around here to justify us giving a different version of ourselves. Excited for you to read it.
And after that, we're bringing back a little Weird Rules action - same trio as above. You're welcome/I'm sorry.
