About This Title
Hey everyone,
SCS Software has released the 1.62 Open Beta for both American Truck Simulator and Euro Truck Simulator 2.
After reviewing the scope of these updates, we've decided that GDC Logistics will not be providing mod support or compatibility updates for the 1.62 Open Beta on either game.
The changes introduced in this update are relatively minor compared to previous major game updates. With that in mind, we'd rather keep our development time focused on our existing projects, current stable-version updates, and the improvements already underway.
This doesn't mean we're abandoning future game updates. It simply means we won't be diverting development resources toward a temporary beta release that offers relatively little benefit to our current mod development priorities.
What does this mean for GDC players?
If you're using our mods, we recommend staying on the stable game version currently supported by your specific GDC packages.
Our mods have not been approved for the 1.62 Open Beta. Even if something appears to work, that doesn't necessarily mean it's fully compatible.
You're welcome to explore the beta on your own, but we won't be providing troubleshooting or compatibility fixes for issues specific to version 1.62 Open Beta.
Once SCS releases 1.62 as a stable update, we'll evaluate the final changes and determine what compatibility work is needed.
For now, development and support will remain focused on our existing stable-version releases.
We appreciate everyone's continued patience and support as we work through our current development commitments.
Drive safe. Plan smarter. Play with honor.
