About This Title
I heard his voice first, followed by a woman's laugh. Her laugh. It was lower than I’d imagined, a little husky, like she’d spent the evening talking too much.
Suddenly, my stomach lurched. My palms felt damp where they were forced behind my back, and I became acutely aware of how quickly I was breathing. I tried to take a slow, steady breath, but somehow that only made me more conscious of how difficult it was to calm myself down.
I could feel the drool that had gathered around my mouth and trickled down my chin, damp against my chest, running further down over my folds towards the hanging curve of my belly.
My jaw was beginning to ache from the gag, and the uncomfortable pressure was becoming harder to ignore. So was the throbbing between my legs, which seemed almost ridiculous given how panicked I suddenly felt. A thin line of wetness had already slipped down the inside of one thigh and was slowly making its way towards the floor.
I wanted to wipe my mouth, close my legs and take a proper breath and collect myself before anyone saw me like this. But I couldn't do any of those things.
Footsteps sounded outside the bedroom, and every muscle in my body seemed to tense at once.
Then the door flung open.
Instinctively, I wanted to lower my head. To hide my face and pretend I wasn't sitting there, exposed and waiting for them. But curiosity got the better of me. I couldn't bring myself to look away.
They practically tumbled through the doorway, already kissing.
They seemed completely absorbed in each other, desperately grabbing, squeezing and pulling with hunger, like they'd waited for this moment forever.
She was beautiful. At least, that was my first thought, though I couldn't have explained exactly what made her so. Maybe it was the small gap between her front teeth that showed when she laughed, or the faint scatter of freckles across the bridge of her nose. I could smell her perfume from across the room, something light and expensive, not the kind I wear.
My heartbeat was so loud in my ears I was half convinced they could hear it too.
Her hands wandered over his shoulders, and when they finally broke apart, she looked up at him with a smile that made my stomach tighten.
For a moment, they simply looked at each other, taking in the reality of finally being face to face.He brushed a strand of hair away from her cheek. She touched his face, studying him as though she were committing every detail to memory.
Fuck. This was more than just a bit of fun for them.
They weren't deliberately ignoring me. They didn't seem to have any awareness of me at all. They were so consumed with each other that they didn't need to pretend I wasn't there.
For a moment, I felt a strange pang of hurt. Then the shame of wanting exactly this came washing over me.
I felt the wetness continuing to slip down my inner thighs, dripping slowly onto the floor between my knees, and heat crept up my chest and cheeks.
It wasn't like I enjoyed seeing my husband fall for another woman. I felt betrayed in ways I hadn't expected. Hearing the stories of his one-night stands was one thing, but seeing the longing in his eyes was painful.
He told me it would be just a bit of fun. I was stupid to think chatting online for this long wasn't an emotional affair. One that I accepted in the most humiliating way possible.
I didn't want to watch them together. But I needed to.
I couldn't take my eyes off them, even when every little thing I noticed seemed to give me another reason to feel inadequate.
He had his hands on her tiny waist, pulling her close as she looked up at him.
Her waist was so small his hands almost met around it. Mine never had. I watched the way her hips moved when she stepped closer to him and felt the soft spill of my own stomach hanging heavily between my spread thighs, with nothing to rest against.
He looked at her in a way I hadn't seen him look at anyone before. Not even me.
There was something in his expression I couldn't quite put my finger on, but it made my stomach ache. They seemed so comfortable with each other already. I was watching two people who knew each other better than I wanted to admit. I suppose, in a way, they did.
Over a year of messages, conversations and whatever else they'd shared between them. A whole part of his life that I'd known nothing about until he'd finally decided to tell me.
Only telling me because he wanted more.
I'd assumed it was her looks that had kept him interested. That, and the thrill of having someone on the side. But watching them together, I started to wonder if there was more to it than that.
What else did she have to offer him? What did they talk about for all those months? What did she know about him that I didn't?
It hadn't really occurred to me before that he might have become emotionally attached to her. Not just interested, or caught up in the excitement of something new, but possibly, in love.
And that realisation hurt a lot more than I expected.
I watched him brush his fingers through her hair, listening as he told her how beautiful she was. How gorgeous she looked in person. How glad he was that she'd finally come.
She laughed, completely at ease, before pulling him in for another kiss.
I wondered how many times he'd made her laugh like that, or how many little things they'd learned about each other. Things I knew nothing about.
And for the first time, I wondered if I was the only one who thought our marriage was enough.
I shifted slightly on my knees, trying to ease the growing ache in my joints and the burn in my shoulders, but the ropes made it impossible.
My fingers had been tingling for a while now, but no amount of flexing them eased the pressure.
This drew attention to how the corners of how my mouth burned from how wide the gag had forced my mouth open. Every time I swallowed, the drool escaped again, this time landing warm on the hanging curve of my belly before continuing its path downward.
I wondered how much longer they'd leave me sitting here like this. Even though we had explicitly agreed that they would ignore me, I kept waiting for him to glance over and check on me the way he always did when we played.
He never did.
For the first time, it crossed my mind that maybe the rules we’d made together only ever protected one of us.
Not that I wanted them to stop or anything. Not really. I just wished I could move, wipe the drool from my chin, or even close my legs for just a moment. Anything to make myself feel a little less exposed and a little more comfortable. My knees throbbed steadily now, and there was no position that offered rest.
He leaned in to whisper something in her ear. Whatever he said made her tilt her head back with a sharp, amused smile.
Her eyes drifted right past his ear. She looked straight over his shoulder, locking her gaze directly with mine.
I noticed a tiny mole at the corner of her right eye. Somehow, noticing these little details made me feel worse.
A slow, knowing smirk spread across her lips as her eyes slowly swept down my body.
My heart hammered against my ribs, heat flooding my skin under her unblinking gaze. The gag made my every breath sound wet and desperate, and the ropes creaked softly when I tried to close my legs. She knew exactly what she was doing. And I felt humiliated.
He pulled back to look at her, completely blind to where her attention had just been, smiling as he tucked her hair behind her ear.
"Honestly, you’re so far out of my league,” he said with a little laugh, shaking his head. His voice was soft, almost private, but I was close enough to hear every word. “I still don’t know what I’ve done to deserve you."
Her smirk widened just a fraction, lingering on my embarrassment before she finally let her gaze drop back to him.
“Don't be silly,” she murmured smoothly, her fingers casually slipping to the buttons of his shirt.
“I'm serious. Look at you.”
He pulled her closer, kissing her forehead before leaning in to kiss her again.
I sat there, taking in every word. So far out of his league.
I wondered if he realised how that sounded to me, or if he'd genuinely forgotten I was in the same room.
I'd always felt like the most ordinary woman in the world. Now, under her sharp, confident gaze, I felt painfully inadequate, as though I couldn't possibly compete with her. His words made me feel small, exposed and utterly replaceable.
She kissed him back with effortless authority, her hands working through the buttons of his shirt.
He loosened the ties at the top of her dress and watched as her large, full breasts spilled free. He made a quiet sound of pure awe, and his palms rose quickly to cup them, thumbs brushing over her perfect pink nipples as if he couldn’t quite believe his luck.
His eyes traced her slim waist and gentle curve of her hips.
“God,” he murmured, smiling as though he still couldn't quite believe she was standing in front of him. “You're incredible. Even more beautiful in person.”
She took in his worship with effortless confidence, stepping into his space and letting him admire her like it was the most natural thing in the world.
“I've imagined this so many times,” he told her.
I felt like my body was freefalling.
I wondered how often he'd imagined it. Whether he'd pictured her when he was lying beside me in bed, or whether he'd thought about her during sex with me.
He held onto her hips as he knelt down before her, dragging the rest of her dress to the ground.
I felt the ropes dig into my wrists, now marking my skin as I instinctively tried to shift. The cool air touched the wetness between my legs and I clenched uselessly against nothing, hating how eager my body still was. Another slow drip of my arousal left a dark mark on the floor between my knees.
He drew in a sharp breath, his hands tightening slightly against her hips.
“Fuck,” he whispered.
“Can I free it?”
I heard his voice first, followed by a woman's laugh. Her laugh. It was lower than I’d imagined, a little husky, like she’d spent the evening talking too much.
