About This Title
October flew by once again, and Episode 7 (#2) – Taboo's release is behind us.Thank you to everyone who played it, left a comment or sent a bug report
Since then, it's been Episode 8 all the way. I'm not doing a Halloween special, or even a Christmas special. All effort is being put into the main story at the moment.Perhaps a small render set for Halloween :)
Episode 8: one big day in townEpisode 8 follows one full day in Moonripple, and it's all planned out now:
A shopping trip in town
An afternoon of free roam, Ep5-style, on a brand new town map: the beach and the pier, the overlook, the old guys' chess table in the park, the Boardwalk and more, in whatever order you like
Two minigames open up: fishing at the pier and chess in the park
Suzie's shift at BCG bar
A new version of the town map is coming, it'll be easier on the eyes, and more coherent. This is not the last version, but an early rework. You'll be able to pick a district to zoom in, which will let us visit more locations :)
Where it's atThe whole day is written and blocked out, the map is done, and the first renders are in: the shopping trip, the overlook and the evening at the bar. Day one alone has a TON of renders on my list, so I'm keeping busy
Still aiming for mid-to-late December (15th+).
Also coming in the next build:
The Journal: Anon's notebook of everyone you've met, the places, the lore, the story so far (for your own route) and the couple's rules. It only knows what your save has reached, so no spoilers.
"Previously on Moonripple Lake": a quick recap when you come back after a break. It asks first.
A scene gallery filter: pick who you want to see and it shows their scenes
Name your saves, and Jump Ahead to the start of any episode
Full Steam Deck and controller support, tested on a real Deck
A little news ticker on the title screen, so you'll see what's new the moment you open the game
What others chose: see how everyone else picked at each episode's big choices. It's opt-in and anonymous, and nothing is sent unless you say yes.
Fixed: symbols that showed up as boxes in the Russian, Ukrainian, Chinese and Korean text
The spicy previews stay in the private chats since this post is free for everyone, so here's the SFW side of things
Love,BCG
