Silqen Studio - VW — Development Update: The Polishing Process

About This Title

First, thank you for your patience and continued support. I know it’s been a while since my last Patreon post, so I wanted to give you a look at what’s currently happening behind the scenes.

We’re currently working on polishing the next update, and this is one of the most time-consuming stages of development.

To show you what I mean, I’m sharing three stages of the same image:

Image 1 — Initial Concept: The original idea and visual direction.

Image 2 — Before Final Polishing: The scene has been developed, but many details still need refinement.

Image 3 — Final Polished Version: Every character receives individual attention, with detailed adjustments to facial features, lighting, textures, and other visual elements.

This isn’t simply a matter of running an image through another filter or making a few quick corrections. Each character is polished individually, and every adjustment needs to work with the rest of the scene. Depending on the image, this process can take a considerable amount of time and become mentally exhausting.

The level of detail and individual attention I aim for goes far beyond what is typically possible with a quick, high-volume production workflow. I want the final images to feel carefully crafted, consistent, and worthy of the experience I’m trying to build with VW.

That approach takes time, but I believe the difference is worth it.

The next update is in preparation, and we’re continuing to work toward the quality standard I’ve set for the project. I don’t want to rush the process just to publish something sooner and compromise the final result.

Thank you for sticking with me. I’ll share more as development progresses.
