Had it gotten that late already? She'd run into a friend, and they'd stood around chatting for a while...apparently long than she'd thought, as the whole mall seemed to be closing around her. She rushed through the main halls toward the exit to the parking lot.
It didn't even really register who or what had sprayed her. A rather nondescript individual, the kind of person who'd been ignored their whole life, and was really quite ignorable. She brushed him off, said she had to get home, and that was when the pink cloud enveloped her.
She was coughing, choking on the fragrant blast - it really didn't smell half bad - and then the first changes began. Fur sprouting on her face, spreading across her body...a cold, wet nose at the tip of an animalistic snout...her hands becoming gnarled paws with long claws, and the tail that unfurled from her back. It was over quicker than it had seemed, and she was left on all fours, bewildered, terrified, looking up at a too-large world that particularly detested what she had become...
