Rather than make a bunch of variants for this animation, I focused my time and effort on little details and vibes. It's funny, because the curtain blowing in the breeze and rain outside a window was a background detail I had wanted to add to that old Palutena sleeping animation, but I found it way too challenging at the time (even with references). This time I sketched the whole background animation out without needing to check anything, and it felt really simple. I'm still nowhere near where I want to be in terms of my animating (or illustrating) skill, but I know I'm at least making progress.
