In some ways, I don't think I needed to watch this cos I feel like I know his voice VERY well but I was still curious I guess!
When he showcased some depth I was gagged but I do think he really played it safe. His objective is to perform vocally and proof his skill rather than showcase something really special. I don't know if that makes sense but he sings like a PERFORMER which is great on stage but I would've loved to see him get lost in a song here and show something new.
Especially because I've heard him do some reaaally interesting things in the recording behind, my bar for him is pretty HIGH!
