The Griffon's Saddlebag - Bracelet of the Centipede
infoAbout This Title
Wondrous item, uncommon
This brass bead bracelet looks like a coiled centipede. While wearing it, you can speak its command word using an action to cause it to transform into a giant centipede in an unoccupied space that you can see within 5 feet of you. The centipede remains for 1 hour, until you speak its command word again using an action, or until it's reduced to 0 hit points. The centipede transforms back into the bracelet when the effect ends. The centipede appears with all its hit points; the first time this property is used each day after dawn, the centipede appears with 2d10 temporary hit points. If the centipede transforms back into the bracelet due to being reduced to 0 hit points, roll a d20: on a 1, the bracelet is destroyed.
The giant centipede is an ally to you and your companions. In combat, it shares your initiative count, but it takes its turn immediately after yours. It obeys your verbal commands (no action required by you). If you don’t issue any, it takes the Dodge action and uses its movement to avoid danger.
So long as you forget that it's a bug on your wrist, it's a nice piece of jewelry.
