About This Title
Hey everyone! Sorry for being a little quiet last week! We’ve had our hands full with a bunch of things, including some technical headaches that needed our attention. 3D always finds new ways to surprise us, and those surprises can sometimes eat up entire days of work.
That said, the first shot of Sequence 04 is finally done! Neil couldn’t wait to get a little taste of Dante, hehe. We’re so happy with how BIG Dante looks and how much the size difference stands out! That’s something we really want to emphasize in every shot. We also couldn’t resist letting Dante keep his cigar throughout the whole scene!
We’re also experimenting with some new tech that lets us record our own movements as a rough starting point! We then refine and polish that base into the smooth, stylized animation we’re aiming for. Acting things out ourselves makes it much easier to express what we have in mind and find the right energy for each movement, instead of building everything manually from scratch. Basically, our own little very veery low-budget mocap setup, hahahaha
We even recorded Neil getting down and playing a little with Dante’s butt, hehe. We’d love to refine and polish this part too, but we’ll see how it fits with the story and pacing :3
The challenge here is creating clean loops that can play seamlessly on screen. As you can see, this one still has a visible jump when it repeats, so it needed a bit more refinement
In other news, the Sequence 3 montage is almost ready! We’ve already recorded with our VAs and put together some cool establishing shots to help tell the story. Just like we did with Sequence 2, we’re bringing it all together with storytelling, sound, moans, and plenty of hotness >:3
We’ll get a little glimpse of Dante in heat, and he’s even more out of control than Neil, hehe. We’re really happy with how it’s all coming together, and it’s looking hot! We’re hoping to release it here next week, so stay tuned ;D
