The Griffon's Saddlebag - Badge of Authority
About This Title
Wondrous item, rare (requires attunement by a lawful creature)
Your name is magically emblazoned on this badge while you're attuned to it. While wearing it, you can roll a d4 whenever you make a Charisma (Intimidation) or Charisma (Persuasion) check and add the result to the total.
In addition, the badge has 4 charges, and it regains 1d4 expended charges daily at dawn. While wearing the badge, you can use an action to expend 1 or more of its charges to cast the command spell from it (save DC 15). For 1 charge, you cast the 1st-level version of the spell. You can increase the spell slot level by one for each additional charge you expend.
Further, whenever you cast the command spell while wearing the badge, you can command the target to "confess" (instead of one of the other options listed in the spell), which has the effect detailed below.
Confess. The target gives you a truthful response to the last question you asked it. It can't otherwise speak for the rest of its turn.
"I'm authorized to be here.""You say that everywhere!""It's true everywhere."
