Sexting Sim - Updates on.... stuff?

SO, I thought I was finished with the retconning stuff, but, apparently I was wrong
Most the people who play the game for NTS weren't happy....
SO, I'm working with a couple people to 'fix' the NTS route through the game, because right now... it doesn't really do anything. After going back and playing through it, yea, I really did mess it up quite a lot.
Next release, or the release after, I'm going to be adding in options so that you can ask Sophie exactly what she has been doing, so she can tell you, and even tell her to do more if you want.... Was polled in the Discord and was pretty decisive. There will be an option to just continue the convo and stay on the same route the game currently has though, so if you don't want this, you wont have to see it.
I've never hidden the fact that I've never been a huge NTS fan, so I am not the best at writing it, but I'm going to do my best to make sure that it's as good as the other routes. This also includes Dave actually telling you what's been going on, instead of just getting all these images and never saying a thing-
I also did a poll on the Discord for route popularity, I'm sure a lot of you saw it and....
Honestly, not sure why I expected anything different Except yuri being so low?? Really??? THAT surprised me. The poll is still up, it wont effect the routes that go into the game, but it does let me know what people want to see so I know where to 'allocate my time' as they say.
Can't give an exact date for the next release just yet. The whole needing to ret-con the game just to make it make sense has made me realize the importance of slowing down, even if just a little, to make sure all the routes I want are in the game, but it shouldn't be too much longer :] I say that as though you have been waiting ages... it's been.... a day....
The other thing I'm thinking about going forward is possibly making the routes less 'mutually exclusive'. For example, if you have Lilly x Sophie and give Dave permission, you get a route that only happens while those two things are true. I am considering leaning more into just having say 2 events, and you get 1 if you are on 1 route, but if you are on both, you get both.
I wouldn't be doing this EVERYWHERE, I know some people absolutely love trying every single possible route to hunt down every single image, but it would mean that if you did a single playthrough you wouldn't get to the end and wonder how you only got 5% of the images, which CAN happen at the moment

YOU CAN START FROM THE ROUTE CHECKPOINTS NOW (well, you will be able to next release)
Once you have reached a route checkpoint you will be able to just start a new game, and begin it from there. It is not save dependent, so whatever stats you have got there with, on any save, will be available for you to start with :] So you wont need to keep a random save just before it, or before all of them if you have more than one.
A lot of people wont know this, but there WAS a checkpoint planned for the date scene. When the MC tells Sophie they need to talk there was meant to be a checkpoint there but I just couldn't get it working in time for the release, so it was never added. I do want to go back and add that checkpoint in too at some point. Right now you have to play for a WHILE to reach the first one....
I think that is everything that is planned for the existing game. I am still open to suggestions if there is anything else people think I messed up or need to fix. This is still the first story I've ever written, or first thing I have ever written, so by no means do I think it's some perfect work of art.
About the actual content coming up in the next few releases? That will be a surprise :] There is a whole new gameplay concept I am toying with, but in all honestly I think I might save it for another story, instead of trying to force it into one of the existing ones... but that will be a WHILE away.
I actually have plans for a least 5 more stories already, so many ideas, and just no time to make them I learned from my first few releases that people just don't want slow updates on multiple stories, so I will be focusing on this one still for the foreseeable future :]
OH, the second alternate route idea has also been decided. I might write the beginning of it soon, but again, it wont be a focus. They are there for when I have some free time, or just have pure writers block on the main route. The first alt route is going to be (if you didn't realise) a pure cuck-queen route, the second one is going to be the pure emotional NTR route.
