Footyshoe.com - Footy Weather + Footy Turf Update!!

infoAbout This Title

Dear Footies,

Tomorrow we will release new updates for both Footy Weather and FootyTurf. These versions bring major improvements compared to the previous releases, especially in performance, weather integration and visual quality.

Footy Weather

Footy Weather has received a major optimization update. The previous version was already several months old and needed a significant overhaul. The new version is much better optimized and now works closely together with FootyTurf.

The weather reported by FM26 will now have a much bigger influence on what you actually see during a match. When FM26 reports Heavy Rain, Footy Weather will generate heavier rainfall and FootyTurf can show more visible wet areas and water patches around and on the pitch. With normal Rain or Drizzle, these effects will be lighter.

The pitch will also react more naturally to the seasons. As autumn and winter arrive, the grass colour can gradually change to better match the conditions. Snow has also been improved. When FM26 reports snowy conditions, Footy Weather can create different variations such as normal snow, heavy snow and wet snow. FootyTurf reacts to these conditions as well, so the weather will not only be visible in the air but also on the pitch itself.

FootyTurf

FootyTurf is now ready for its first proper normal release. In the GUI you can choose which type of grass and turf you want to use for your home club. You can also configure the turf for other clubs, so when you play an away match you can adjust that stadium's pitch and save the settings directly as clubid.footyturf. The next time you visit that club, FootyTurf can automatically use those saved settings again.

We have already included several turf presets to get you started.

Improved 3D Grass Shaders

The 3D Grass Shaders have received a major update as well. The biggest improvement is the added depth and overall appearance of the grass, which should be immediately noticeable during matches and make the pitch feel much more alive.

If you do not want to spend time tweaking all the settings yourself, simply use our new default.footyturf. This preset is automatically loaded by the plugin and provides our recommended default setup.

Release: Tomorrow September 7, 2026

Footy Analyzer News

I am currently putting the final touches on Footy Analyzer. One of the bigger ideas behind the web version is that it should eventually be more than just a place where you can view your Football Manager data.

The goal is to also allow certain actions directly from the webapp. Imagine sitting on the couch with Footy Analyzer open on your tablet or phone while browsing through your squad and scouting data. If you decide that one of your players should be placed on the transfer list, the idea is that you will eventually be able to do that directly from the webapp.

The same applies to additional player training. You could select a player in the webapp, assign additional training and have Footy Analyzer communicate that back to the game. For this system we are developing a combination of a trainer and timer system, but this part of the webapp is still under development.

I am currently finishing the final parts of Footy Analyzer and I hope to release the first proper version later this week.

More news soon!
