About This Title
Behold! 'Tis the last update for September! Before reading farther, though...make sure you've voted in October's Story Poll! It closes at 11:59pm on the 30th. Now, with the voting reminder out of the way, onward to talking about the latest release...
Things are starting to accelerate a bit, since I'm focusing on the most relevant parts, rather than showing every battle. That will continue to be a theme as we moved closer and closer to the end game of the story. I'm expecting each month to start covering at least two months of in-universe time, showing critical shifts and flow of the war without bogging us down into nitty gritty detail. Aayla is going to show up as much as Izuku, given that she is the closest thing the story has to a secondary protagonist and she's far more free to move around the galaxy at this point. Though I will still show Izuku as much as possible, particularly as he's a good perspective to provide a view of the overall progression of the war.
That starts in these chapters, with Izuku mostly getting stuck with politics (though he does get one action scene!), while Aayla dives into the Dark Reaper crisis, alongside a special guest at least some of you will like seeing ;-). All while using something I intentionally planted in the story what seems like FOREVER ago, as a plot hook/tool waiting to be used. I also stuck a lemon into this release, mostly because I'm not sure how long it will be before there's a reasonable chance to do so again. The lemon, though, is honestly pretty much an extra. After all, this particular release hit 11,500 words, instead of the usual 10k!
Anyway, as usual, the new stuff is attached here in various formats. Since this is the final Displaced Hero update for September, I will also be updating the Master Files in the pinned post shortly. Likewise, I'll put something author's notes for the chapters in the comments section when I get a few minutes to actually write them :-p. Now go enjoy more Can One Displaced Hero Save the Galaxy?!!
P.S. Finally found a piece of Celeste Fanart that I like. Her art here is by ChaosEmperor 971. Aayla's is, of course, pretty much my favorite of her by AyyaSAP. The Asora art, I sadly no longer have the link for! I could have sworn I had it somewhere, but can't find it in the old posts >_<. The Padmé/Sabé art is an AI generation.
