DannTheMann - Upcoming Mod Projects/Plans - 10/9
About This Title
Back with another news roundup and future plans post! There's a whole lot coming soon. Both with new patch content and planned mod releases. Not a terrible amount of total mod projects throughout the upcoming patches but a lot of frontloaded ones. We've got the boys in the second halves after all
A quick recap on current mod projects and plans leading up to the two patch releases. Sunna's KFC outfit mod is in the works and is close to being finished. If I can squeeze Nangong's version in before Arknight's update I will, but I really want to make sure I can get done as much as possible of Si, before her release in 1.6. So, its up in the air RN.
I'll make another post today going over Sunna's mod project in more detail:
In between Si's release and ZZZ patch 3.3 we should have a few days open. What I do with those days, I'm not sure just yet. I've been having to push back Remielle's swimsuit skin mod for some time, with all the catchup going on. I'm considering maybe pushing out the mod to Remielle's inevitable rerun, since we're already seeing Velina and Norma reruns in 3.3. I would wager we'll probably see her again as early as 3.4 or 3.5. If nothing is announced for 3.5, then at the very latest, I'll make sure we start on it before that patch begins. We already have two huge mods for her that people can enjoy, and pushing her out further would give me a bit more space to breath, and time to finish things like Nangong and Tangtang's mod fix.
We've had another lengthy/mostly empty patch with Endfield 1.5, and the long awaited Si is finally around the corner! Or as I like to call her, Sí Señora
They really cooked with this one, and the anticipation for her is palpable. I have her model, so, unlike other Endfield characters in the past, I can start work on her early! There's a lot we can do with Si, and a lot of ideas floating around in my head, so I might put out a Patreon poll for you all to consider some additions we can add based on popularity. Stay tuned!
Speaking of anticipated characters, I don't think anyone can write off everyone's already favorite dolt, Phoenix! I just can't fathom how people don't like her design. Is it the 20th leotard bodysuit outfit? Well, if it means we get more open thighs, I'll happily take it! I just don't understand how they made her so peak!
And, of course, we got the outfit reveal! I was kinda expecting this, but two outfits??? Granted, they are literally just color options.
Speaking of them being recolors, I actually think this could be a good opportunity where the two outfits could be combined into one mod without issue. This is because you literally have to buy them as a pair in order to get either. So, There's not circumventing Hoyo's cash shop by combining the two! I just really don't want to build two separate mods for a simple recolor lol And making it a single mod avoids more work in the future if/when mods break. It also makes for a better user experience, overall.
I continue to get Vietnam flashbacks to seeing Remielle's 3 outfit reveal for the first time
Don't think I forgot the livestream big reveal, either! Hoyo saw the money flowing in from the Honkai/Fate collab, so I'm sure they gave the greenlight for Zenless pretty quick! I'm wondering if we get one of them for free. We'll see! Kafka is a pretty obvious one for making NSFW mods. She's the face of the "mommy" archetype in gacha games, after all. But I think Robin is slept on. Not only is she beautiful, but she has that innocence vibe to her, kinda like Liino in Endfield. Maybe we can see a pregnancy option or something similar when she comes around?....
One more thing I wanted to address is something I've mentioned in previous posts: my plans to take a break soon to avoid burnout and maintain a healthy, consistent flow of mods.
I'm not experiencing burnout, per se, but I also don't want to reach a point where I wake up one day and suddenly feel a sense of dread at the thought of working on another mod project. I originally got into mod creation because it's something I'm genuinely passionate about, and I love doing it. But even the things we love can eventually become burdens if we don't maintain a healthy balance.
My original plan was to take a decent break during the latter half of ZZZ 3.2, but I haven't quite found a good opening for that yet. Instead, I'm considering wrapping up Si shortly after her release, then taking a short break between her and Phoenix. Once Phoenix, her skin, and my other pending mod projects are finished later into the 3.3 and 1.6 patches, I think I'll have a better opportunity to take a more substantial break.
And just to clarify, when I talk about taking breaks, I'm not talking about disappearing for weeks or anything like that. It's really just a matter of stepping away from Blender for a few days, giving myself some breathing room, and coming back refreshed and excited to create again.
I'm in this for the long haul, and I hope you'll all be here alongside me! We've got a mutually beneficial relationship going here: I scratch your back, you scratch mine.
You've all been an incredible community, and I'm endlessly grateful for the opportunity you've given me to pursue my passion and make a living as a self-made creator. None of this would be possible without your support, and I don't take that for granted!
