About This Title
Hey everyone,
v0.3 is officially out! This is a smaller build than v0.2, but a meaningful one. A lot of this update is about making the game clearer and easier to navigate before I pile on more content.
What’s New in v0.3
41 total animations
Quality of life improvements — large on-screen letters for daytime changes, an exclamation marker over Tobin when he’s a cat so you know to interact with him, and other small tweaks to make the game easier to understand and traverse
The Women’s Washroom is now accessible at night. Interact with Lyssa!
A couple of random events in Runehaven and the Academy Courtyard at night
Two new class scenes — one for Alchemy, one for Invisibility
A new RPG Maker story scene — Fenlow confronts Malrick about Sevrin and Arielle
For the Diggers
If you poke through the files, you’ll find an extra library scene that isn’t integrated into the game yet. I’m undecided on whether I’ll use that animation or try for a better one. Turns out the physics on a stool are surprisingly hard to get right.
About a Guide…
I’ve thought about writing one, but honestly that’s exactly what the Hall of Memories is for. Interact with each person in the room to get a hint about the scenes you haven’t unlocked yet.
Max corruption is still 40 for this build.
A Note on Saves & Bugs
I’m learning fast how complex all this logic gets, and how easy it is to break something without realizing it. I’m being careful as I work through each scene, but please report any bugs or issues you run into.
Also: carrying over old saves won’t always work properly. A fresh save is always recommended.
