About This Title

Hey everyone,

v0.3 is officially public! It’s been a couple of weeks since supporters got their hands on it, and now it’s open to everyone. If you’ve been curious about the project, this is the most complete version of Arielle’s story to date.

New Here?

Arielle’s Descent: Arcane Academy is an adult corruption RPG built in RPG Maker MZ. You play as Arielle Valemont, a proud young noblewoman whose family is quietly losing its political standing.

She arrives at the prestigious Aurelius Academy of Magic with a fading name, a job to pay her way, and a “protective ward” from a trusted family friend. That ward is not what she was told it was.

What’s in v0.3

41 total animations

The full daily loop — classes in the morning, work in the afternoon, exploration at night

Navigation & quality of life — large on-screen letters when the time of day changes, an exclamation marker over Tobin when he’s a cat, and other tweaks to make the world easier to read

The Women’s Washroom, accessible at night — interact with Lyssa

Random events in Runehaven and the Academy Courtyard at night

Class scenes across Alchemy and Invisibility

A story scene where Fenlow brings her suspicions about Sevrin to the Arch Mage

The Hall of Memories — stuck? Interact with each person in the room for hints about locked scenes

Max corruption is 40 in this build.

A quick note: old saves won’t always carry over cleanly. A fresh save is always recommended. And please report any bugs you run into!

What’s Coming in v0.4

v0.4 is still in development, and it centers on Tobin and his magic shop. As Arielle hands out more fliers, Tobin starts getting some “wise” ideas about how to draw in customers, and she becomes the guinea pig for testing them out.

It’s also an important building block toward the next work location: the Tavern.

The Big Question — I Want Your Input

We’re approaching the end of the low-corruption phase of the game. Before I start ramping things up, I’d really like to hear from you:

Is there anything that still needs time and attention before moving forward?

Are there areas of the game, characters, or relationships that feel underdeveloped? Anything thin, rushed, or unfinished that deserves another pass before Arielle’s descent picks up speed?

This is the easiest point to fix the foundation. Once I’m building on top of it, it gets a lot harder. Drop your thoughts in the comments.

Thank you all for your support, your feedback, and your patience.
