bigstories - Bigger Mac- October
About This Title
Getting costumes for Nightmare Night is a little difficult at Big Mac's size- but thankfully, he knows just who to call. One of the tailors is far more eager to tackle a project this size than the other, however. Enjoy!

Rarity was trying not to panic. She was a perfectionist, and she had never, ever failed an order, and she definitely didn't want to fail for a friend like Big Mac. Especially since she charged by the amount of material she used, she could make a small fortune for designing a custom costume for Nightmare Night— and for how the harvest fair circuit had apparently gone for Sweet Acres, she knew he could afford it.
But not even unicorn magic or her talent for tailoring and designing might be enough to actually envelop Big Mac. She had severely underestimated how large he had gotten, even after Applejack had told her about his homecoming— and then eating the family out of house and home. He took up the entire dais, and if she could make something for him, she had no idea how he could even see it in the mirror, except for maybe one limb at a time— even then, his thighs alone outpaced the wagon wheels he used to haul around. Big Mac's appetite hadn't slowed down at all since his return home; every meal was enough to feed a whole herd, it seemed like, and for his outstanding growth, the pony was only getting bigger and bigger. His overalls, which had been resized several times over by Granny Smith, could make a tent for Rarity and all her friends for the vast amounts of cloth it made. It only just held in his massive waistline, holding back a gigantic belly that was smothering the ground several feet in front of him like a levee holding back floodwaters, and even then, it was splitting at the seams along his flabby thighs and enormous, cushion-like rear. His shirt was shrink-wrapped around his flabby, pillowy chest, barely able to stretch out over the continental shelf of the top of his gut.
He shrugged broad shoulders, his flabby arms dense with mass. The multiple sets of extra chins and round, inflated cheeks frames his face as he offered a bashful grin. "So, uh… Think ya can help me out, Rarity? I was thinkin' I wanted to dress up as maybe a dragon or somethin', they're, uh— pretty big. So long as Spike's not offended."
Rarity gave Big Mac a tight smile. "I've never failed an order yet. Just… give me a moment, Macintosh, to do some, ah, consulting." Rarity stepped behind the enormous, near-blob of a pony to the only other tailor she felt she could trust in a situation like this— Silver. The white, her former student, stag had been observing Rarity's sketches, tilting his spectacles down his muzzle, as she went to his side. "You can see the problem I'm having? I've never had to make an outfit quite to these, ah, specifications— and even then, I'm still not sure I got the measurements right… I had to tie together four of my measuring tapes."
Silver looked up. "There's a few things we can do to make this look flattering, but—" He stopped suddenly as he looked up, spotting Big Mac from across the shop. "Is that him?"
Rarity nodded anxiously. "You see the problem."
"Oh, please. You see a problem," Silver had a strange glint in his eye. "I only see an opportunity— I'm going to need a few more measuring tapes, twenty spools of thread, and thirty reams of cloth," He began rolling his sleeves up. "We're going to make this big boy look amazing."
