J.D. - 【Free App】 Patreon Updater — Download & Setup
About This Title
Updating MEGA links across older Patreon posts can mean opening each post, finding its link, replacing it, and saving over and over.
Patreon Updater automates that repetitive work. It checks your published posts against your current MEGA folder listing and shows you the old and new links before you update anything.
What you can doGenerate a report identifying outdated MEGA links.
Review the proposed replacements.
Manually connect a post to a folder when their names don’t match.
Update a selected post or all listed candidates through browser automation.
The app uses the Patreon API to retrieve posts. Browser automation is used only when editing them.
First-time setup: get your Patreon API tokenYou need your own Patreon API v2 client and Creator’s Access Token. This lets the app read posts from your creator account.
Sign into Patreon with the creator account whose posts you want to manage.
Open Patreon’s Clients & API Keys page.
Create a client for your personal use. Give it a descriptive name, such as My Patreon Updater, and complete the required fields. Choose API version 2 if a version selector appears.
Open the client details and find Creator’s Access Token.
Enter that token when Patreon Updater asks for it during report generation.
Use the Creator’s Access Token, not the Client ID, Client Secret, or Refresh Token. For more information, see the official Patreon API documentation.
Treat your token like a password. Never share it or include it in screenshots.
Using the appChoose a text listing containing your current MEGA folder links. You can export one with MEGA Link Manager.
Click Generate report and enter your token.
Review the old and new links in the results.
If a post and folder weren’t matched correctly, use Manage mappings to connect them.
Try Update selected post first.
Sign into Patreon in the browser opened by the app, if needed.
Once you’re comfortable with the process, use Update all posts to process all listed candidates you’ve reviewed.
Your campaign is discovered automatically—you don’t need to look up its ID.
DownloadDownload Patreon Updater v1.0.2Under Assets, download Patreon.Updater.v1.0.1.zip, not the source-code archive.
Extract the entire folder and run the .exe. Keep _internal alongside it. Python, Playwright, and the required browser components are included.
Important limitationsPosts with multiple distinct MEGA links currently require manual editing.
Always review the proposed replacements before updating.
Generate a fresh report after changing your MEGA links.
Your API token and browser login are separate: the token reads posts; the browser session lets you edit them.
This is an independent automation tool, not an official Patreon product. It’s designed to reduce repetitive work—not replace your judgment about which links belong in each post.
If it makes your workflow easier, I’d love to hear about it!
