About This Title

You suggest taking one last look around the greenhouse to see if there's anything useful.

Emmett nods and returns to the screen to see if there aren't any more files or logs that might help. You find yourself drifting over toward a wall of flowers that are mid-bloom. You watch their petals opening and their pistils reaching out into the light. Your head turns down the length of the row of flowers and you spot one that is incredibly pink. You walk over and it is noticeably bigger than the rest. You give it a small sniff and your nose fills with a sweet fragrance. Your nose itches from the pollen and you unexpectedly sneeze into the rose, causing it to snap back shut. You wipe your snout and apologize quietly before moving toward a large planter.

You observe how your body reacts to being near other plants. The light that glistens across your skin fills you with a deep warmth that penetrates your very being. You close your eyes and can hear the subtle vibrations from one green stalk to another. The notes drift up and down without rhythm and feel more like wind chimes or flowing water. You listen to the flora and get a sense that they're excitedly awaiting something— or rather, someone. You open your eyes to look around curiously but the greenhouse is quiet besides Emmett who is currently tapping through different files on the computer.

You spot a pipe nearby with a tablet displaying a timer for watering. It seems that it's on a cycle now and will begin shortly and perhaps this is what the plants are waiting for. You walk over to a desk nearby and see a couple of seeds lying about. One is the size of an almond while the other the size of a lighter. You pick one up without thinking about it and before you can raise it to your eyes to investigate, your body coats the seed in a thick layer of goo and absorbs it into your hand. You jump back, startled. You look at where the seed disappeared and feel its mass sitting slightly below your palm. Your eyes flutter as the taste of mango on your tongue and you watch your hand harden and become rigid. You observe your change with delight, noting your body's ability to read DNA and replicate it along yourself. You pick up the other seed and watch it disappear into your body. This time, the taste is bitter and you grimace. You watch as your hand turns slightly green before becoming a deep amber-yellow. You feel your arm heat up and glow in the faint light of the greenhouse. You press your arm against your chest and tender warmth fills you. You let out a soft sigh.

You look back at the desk and notice these seeds are in containers marked with the label 'seed vault.' Your eyes light up at the endless possibilities this body can produce and you quickly scan the journals and notes to see if you can locate the vault. It should be nearby as you are already in the greenhouse. You walk over to Emmett who looks at your now-glowing arm, perplexed.

"S-Should you be experimenting on y-yourself like this?" he asks, slightly worried.

You tell him that it could benefit both of you; the light will help if the power goes out fully. He nods hesitantly.

"A-Anyways, turns out their n-navigational systems are d-down but it would b-be the fastest way to the engine room. I don't k-know if the escape pods work without power b-but best be safe!"

The light flickers and dims slightly but your arm is keeping you warm.

> Investigate the seed bank. > Head to the navigation system.> Head toward the crew quarters.
