DannTheMann - Upcoming & Near Future Channel Plans - 11/3
About This Title
Its been a couple days! Kinda weird for the channel, but just haven't had a lot that's needed to be posted. I figured we'd do another future plans post because there is actually quite a bit of big things upcoming, even if the current game patches aren't super mod content dense.
I'll start with some current and upcoming scheduling plans:
Right now, I'm actively working on Phoenix's skin mod and am in the latter half of development. One quick realization I've made is that mods for either one of Phoenix's skins actually affect/override both skin models. Makes sense, since they're just two different texture/color overrides for the same model. This means if you planned to pick up just one of the two color versions, my mod will work for either one! Again, whether or not you decide to purchase both skins as a bundle or just one, that's your discretion.
What's I've been sinking a lot of time into has been the construction of a full one piece swimsuit for Phoenix, using her skin's partial bodysuit/swimsuit as the base.
These things always take time, but I've successfully made what I think is a quality lewd one-piece that doesn't show everything, but shows just enough.
Plans are to also build a two-piece using the one piece assets, as well as some other outfit variations and options. I'll get something out to you today in the form of a partial mod. Full mod should be released not too long after that.
A recap on mod project plans prior to Zenless patch 3.4:
Nangong and Aria's KFC outfit mods are still coming! Nangong will be next, then Aria. That will be it for Zenless mods up until 3.4. I'll be taking a small break, but may fidget around with some mods in the meantime. Lifeng's gender-bend mod needs some love, so, I may go about finishing it!
We'll see how much time we have remaining prior to the two game's next patches, but as soon as Endfield drops their next patch, which should have a female character, I'll probably be fully focused on new/upcoming patch characters from then on. This is because, as I'm sure you know, 3.4 is going to be a very big patch, with a hugely anticipated character, Sunbringer. And because she is coming in the form of her 3 body variants, her mod is essentially 3 mods in one
No avoiding it... This essentially means 3 times the work for a single character mod. Its a blessing and a curse. I can't say I wouldn't have preferred a dedicated character banner for each version. Our wallets will be saved, at least!
So, while I probably won't be starting her skin mod in advance, I at least want to get a lot of her base mod finished in the form of constructing nude models for each Sunbringer, as well as other unique assets that are needed for the mod. This could take as long as a week or more. So, want to give myself plenty of time in advance so you aren't all sitting waiting a week for Sunbringer's mod, after her release. Will probably go right into the skin for Sunbringer after that, since I'll already have the bodies constructed. Robin may have to wait a bit. Sorry Robin.
Kinda wild to think, but 3.4 will be bringing us into December, and all the way into 2027! Where did the year go??
Since we're coming up to the year's end, I wanted to take the opportunity to talk more about big picture plans for the page/channel and give idea of what I'm considering in the coming months.
I think it was at the beginning of 2026 that I introduced a large Patreon subscription price hike, from $2 to $4. It was a big jump, but what I transitioned into offering was the kind of comprehensive character mods I release now, compared to before, where I hardly knew how a toggle worked. I think I've be able to justify that cost adjustment with the work I've put in for 2026!
The point being, that this was the most recent real change to subscription pricing for the page. I plan to make a new pricing adjustment to the page for the end of year. Don't worry, it's nothing significant! But I wanted to mention it at least, before making a more comprehensive post about the planned changes later. I'll be posting that sometime soon, so keep a look out for that.
Another thing going into 2027 is thinking more about what games I want to mod and/or not mod over the long term. I still very much want to continue creating mods for our current two games, however, I would eventually want to expand into more than just two games. When it comes to continued growth, covering a number of different popular games is an important factor. There are only so many people playing any single game, and using mods, at that.
If I were to eventually expand into more games there would be a number of things that would have to change in terms of content creation priority and time investment. A big one would probably be cancelling plans to make mods for old characters. For example, abandoning future plans to eventually make mods for characters like Zhu yuan from ZZZ or Ember from Endfield. Older characters that aren't that popular. I have already found myself so burdened with new character and skin releases that I've basically put old character mods on hiatus! Honestly we can blame ZZZ's paid skins for a lot of this. They have just been churning out skins nonstop!
So, as long as I'm making skin mods, and as long as Hoyo's dropping them, they're gonna take priority over old character mods.
One other pretty substantial time sink that bleeds into modding productivity is actually playing and keeping up with ZZZ and Endfield. It may not seem like a huge investment, they're gachas after all, but even just an hour a day for each, to keep up with them and pull new characters, is a lot of work. What I've honestly considered is the possibility of either finding someone who has an account and requesting to use the account for character mod testing and/or offering out one of my accounts to basically be "baby sat" by a good Samaritan who can keep up with the game so I'm not having to actively play it every single day. Endfield would probably be the most likely candidate for this.
Still, not 100% on the idea. Having trusted people to do something like this would be hugely important, but if successful, would create a much more time efficient workflow.
Lastly, when it comes to improving workflows and opening up time availability, that also opens up the possibility of welcoming a new game to the modding family. I've been keeping a close eye on it for a while, but Ananta has really peaked my interest for a game to not only try out but to potentially create mods for, in the future.
There are many unknowns and uncertainties surrounding the game. First off, the game isn't even a gacha. So, the release of characters could be very different from what people are used to. Second, while the game will likely end up with eventual mod support, the game sports a wardrobe system that allows every character to pick from a large number of free and paid outfit options. How this would work in practice, when it comes to creating mods for characters, who the hell knows?
That's basically where I'm at, thinking out towards the next 6 or so months. I'll definitely keep putting out important updates surrounding these things in the coming months. Just know, nothing substantial is changing for the channel, but things will evolve here and there.
Let me get back to Phoenix, then. I want to get something out for you soon!
....Okay, bye.
