A Nightmare on Elm Street remake is in the works at Paramount. The film will adapt Wes Craven's original screenplay again.
An Alvin and the Chipmunks reboot is in the works. In theaters in 2028.
A live-action film about Princess Tiana from Princess and the Frog is in the works. Colman Domingo is set to co-write the script.

Tom Cruise invited all of the AMC theater employees in the building with him to watch The Odyssey in IMAX.
Christopher Nolan says he told his son that he removed his Oscars from his office while writing The Odyssey as they felt daunting to look at. His son then replied: "but you didn't win any for writing."
The Odyssey had one sequence filmed in such stormy conditions on a 115ft wooden longship in the sea that many actors started vomiting. Nolan then said: "would you mind if we get the vomiting on camera?"
When filming the Trojan Horse scene for The Odyssey, Jon Bernthal was in the horse partially submerged in ice cold water and shivering. Nolan suggested pulling him out until Bernthal said: "you ain't breaking me, Chris. There's nothing you can do to break me!"
Himesh Patel reveals that Circe's sequence in The Odyssey is all done practically. "I saw things happen in front of my eyes, it was happening in front of me and I thought it was happening to me."

Christoper Nolan Ranked
With the release of the The Odyssey this week I thought I'd share my updated Nolan ranking of all 13 of his films. It's worth mentioning that I don't actually think he's made a bad movie every one of these are 3.5 stars or above for me and honestly from like 4-10 I found it really hard to rank. Basically I'm saying please don't rinse me in the comments....
The Dark Knight
First film I ever watched twice at the cinema and I'd credit as making me fall in love with films

The Prestige
The twists and turns this film puts you through is insane I envy anyone that gets to watch this for the first time
Inception
Nolan at his most convoluted yet captivating best first time I watched this I would pause every like 30 minutes just to catch my bearings
Tenet
Hot take but I loved this even if it did take the 2nd time of viewing to fully grasp what was actually going on (classic Nolan)
Oppenheimer
Top performances throughout and one of my favourite directorial efforts from Nolan
Interstellar
A lot higher I would imagine for most and due a rewatch for me but just remember loving lots whilst simultaneously questioning a few of the decisions the film makes
The Odyssey
Best score of all his films and some of his best ever sequences but slightly rushed I think this needed to be even longer
Batman Begins
Rewatched recently and way better than I remembered a truly solid superhero origin story
The Dark Knight Rises
So messy at points but Hathaway and Hardy play two iconic characters and it's still a lot of fun
Insomnia
A rare Nolan film he didn't write but underrated even if I am swayed by my love of Al Pacino

Dunkirk
I didn't watch this at the cinema and I don't think it's a film that works as well without it

Scream Trivia
This week we watched Scream on the Patreon which was such a blast probably my favourite film that we've covered so far. Below I've included some of the trivia that didn't make it in the video:
The film was originally titled 'Scary Movie'.
Joaquin Phoenix turned down the role of Billy and Leonardo DiCaprio screen tested for it.
During production, Ghostface's signature black robe was going to be white, to make him appear even more like a ghost. This was changed in fear of people complaining the costume to those that the Ku Klux Klan wear.
In the beginning scene where Casey's parents arrive back to the house her father tells her mother to drive to the McKenzies. This is a reference to Halloween where in the ending of the film Laurie Strode tells the children to go back to the McKenzies house.
All the killer's phone calls were really done by Roger L. Jackson on-set with a cell phone. At one point, the crew were contacted by the police demanding to know who they were, because they thought there was a real killer making the phone calls.
At one point during the filming of the opening scene, somebody forgot to unplug the phone that Casey used to try and call the cops. This resulted in real, puzzled 911 operators hearing Drew Barrymore screaming for her life on the other end.
Fred, the janitor, who is dressed like Freddy Krueger from A Nightmare on Elm Street is played by Wes Craven (the director). They also used the actual clothes from A Nightmare on Elm Street.
Dewey was supposed to die from the stab wound to the back. Wes Craven filmed the scenes at the end of the film, where Dewey is alive and being taken to the hospital, just in case he changed his mind about killing Dewey. The screen test audience loved Dewey so much that Craven decided to add his survival scene in the final cut. During the part where Gale is knocked out by Billy, you can see that Dewey is not breathing when Gale lands on him because Dewey was intended to be dead.
At 01:50:18 there is a message in the end credits that says 'No thanks whatsoever to the Santa Rosa City School District Governing Board'. Very close to the shooting date the school board read the script and denied the film to be shot there due to the violent nature of the script. They had been under the impression the film was a comedy.
