Look I, Clara, will admit to making mistakes in the past. I don't want to list them, but I'll tell you ONE just to prove that we all do it:
I thought getting your car inspected was the same as getting the emissions checked. And thus, I continually rebuffed the DMV's insistence that my emission test was overdue because I got the car inspected, check your records DMV, you morons!
That mistake turned into a learning opportunity. Now I know an inspection doesn't include emissions and fines for an overdue emission test add up quickly.
Despite the damage to my bank account, and potentially the environment, I still think my mistake pales in comparison to Pat Riley's. Mine didn't cost the Knicks, or anyone, a championship.
Game 7 of the 1994 NBA Finals, John Starks was ice-cold. He went 2-for-18! And Riley never took him out of the game! The coach had fresh shooters on the bench! What was he thinking?! We may never know, but we gotta try to figure it out.
And I'll take my car in riiiiight after that.
