About This Title
howdy. i kinda just sat down and focus fired this over the course of the last few days, and i think it's shaping up to be a pretty good one! much like the recent mal0 animation, i opted to animate a lot of the stuff that's normally fully reliant on physics sim by hand (along with completely redoing how i go about setting up physics, which appears to be MUCH more stable - at least in this case). this is, more-or-less, the full animation, so all that i need to add is the fluids, the scene, and so on and so forth. i expect to have that all said and done and get a release ready for this within the next 3 days. hopefully you guys like how it's turning out!
moving on to the usual skit updates; i'm getting pretty close to finishing the animation side of things. just got maybe about a page and a half (out of the total 7 pages) left of the script to animate (along with all of BBS's facial expressions, which is light work). after that, it's just a matter of tweaking the lighting (though given how the scene is outdoors, i don't have to tweak very much), getting my voicelines done, rendering it, and editing everything together. i won't throw out an estimate quite yet since i'd rather not stress myself out too much if i can help it - but rest assured, it really should not take me much longer.here's a few more shots from the skit in the meantime:
lastly, although i know i said i was gonna reduce the number of side projects i'd be working on, i am planning to try and get a short animation done in time for halloween. wasn't exactly intending to do one (not because i didn't want to or anything, moreso because of the amount of work i've already got on my plate), but my buddy informed me that a second pumpkin cat has hit the tilted towers, so i'd be remiss not to do something.spent a good chunk of yesterday getting the model all set for animating (wouldn't have taken nearly as long if i hadn't spent like 5 hours teaching myself how to rig clothing onto a model - but to my surprise, it actually turned out pretty well, so that's nice).
that's all i've got to share for the moment! i'll aim to have the HQ release of this animation and any other updates i've got to share posted sometime in the next 3 days. till then, thank you as always for your support, and have a good one! :]
