dcorsetto - Happy Daily Comics Day, have some dilapidated motels!!
About This Title
Happy Friday, y'all! It's been awhile since the last free Dailies post, so this one's going out to everyone.
Luke and I visited his family in Pennsylvania last weekend, which means we drove through the very American-ass "town" of Breezewood, PA.
Just outside of the commercial buzz of Breezewood, off 70, is my favorite part of the trip...
I'm easy. And cheap!
And I remembered to take pictures.
I pressed my face up against the glass of this one and it had a COMPLETELY STOCKED BAR. I think people live upstairs and host private ragers downstairs.
It was a short trespassing session, but we loved it.
Quetza was less impressed. Not enough dog piss.
Here's the original art, for those of you who are into poking around old buildings and going antique shopping! Scroll down for your 50% off discount code!
I suspect many of you will relate to this one...
So cute! But also, so pain. Here's the original art!
One of my favorite things about drawing caricatures is that I have the opportunity to tell complete strangers nice things about their appearance, without sounding like a creep.
$200 every two months is... unsustainable. It was fun while it lasted!
This stuff is so long now it brushes against my BELLY??
Yeah, that's the white part. By which I mean, there's a millimeter or two of colorless hair at the very end that you can't see. Here's the original art for that comic!
We've discovered that Quetza's breed (xolo) is an alert dog! He alerts us of... many things. Including: makes and models.
I'm not sure what the categories mean, but he's very discerning.
(I'll let Luke have first dibs on this one, and put it up for sale if he passes on it.)
If you're in the $2/month or up club, you already know the routine; your 50% discount code is below the "Rental Body" comic last week (which to my surprise is still available, btw!). That'll give you 50% off on any comic(s) in the Original Art: Comics section, so have at it!
I've been over here working on an oversized white board to prepare for the relaunch of Elephant Town, which should be October 5 (!!!!) if all goes well (if I remember how to digitally color a comic, I mean).
Believe me when I say that this white board is ENORMOUS. I just have very large cats.
OH, and I teased this in a "quip" yesterday (Patreon's Twitter alternative), but if you missed it, I got my first sample of my Shepherdstown banner painting as a puzzle!
Look I know I've had high-quality books and prints and stickers made of my work before, but...
... it is REALLY FUN to see it on puzzle pieces. Especially because this whole painting is made of gouache.
I'm waiting on one other puzzle company to send their sample before I settle on which one to go with. I'll be soliciting preorders in about a month; you'll hear about it here!
In the meantime, go forth into that good weekend, and give yourself twenty minutes to check out that one thing on your walk/drive/short walk to put the trash out that you've always been wanting to explore, but never take the time to do.
